If you lock the preview messages within iOS you can only see the chats if you validate Face ID, that's baked into the system. It's a nice feature to have, nothing to mock on either OS.

My a5(2017) had a preinstalled app (SSecure). It was able to lock apps and hide them using biometrics.

that(SSecure) can be uninstalled easily :P bcoz it can't lock itself

An extra layer of security, this is nice to have. People making fun of how late this feature is available in iOS when Android had this for years (thru 3rd party apps, and some system-baked feature), well better late than never.

So apple is buttery smooth etc etc so what ? My s9 plus is as smooth as any iPhone and I dont care what any of you trolls say. You are bragging about a phone that uses everyone's parts inside it Samsung parts inside it smh.
