What phone has impressed you the most so far in 2016?

So far in 2016, we've welcomed an intriguing selection of new phones, most of which were quite anticipated in the months immediate to their release. You know what phones we are talking about - Samsung, HTC, and LG's flagships, which are usually released in the first half of a given year and this is unlikely to change in the immediate future...

Honestly the G5 is the most impressive with it's modular design and great camera. Unfortunately I don't like the design of the phone so I wouldn't buy It but I did just vote for it.

S7 and Redmi Note 3 definitely .. One offers extreme flagship level performance (battery, camera, UI, water-resistance etc.) and other one offers best configuration on budget (fast processor, really long lasting battery) !!

I'm sorry, there's nothing that impresses me or gets me excited. Incremental improvements all around. Show me a really large Note phablet with a foldable screen for pocketability and I'll bring out the wallet. Samsung, and LG have shown off prototypes for years.

I know right? Nothing really "wow"-ed me. Hoping Note wouldn't disappoint

HTC 10, for they made just the biggest comeback and best Android they've ever released.

dear, I have 5 Android (all still f**king active) phones and 1 iPhone, I have negative zero idea why you are accusing me of such, but thanks for giving me the 'ifan' moniker though.. :)

Because in many of your post, you sound like a typical iPhonaddict. WoW! I think I just coined a new word - "iPhonaddtic"

Let's just say I'm indeed having fun with my iPhone but I always try to stay as neutral as I can be, although I do admit sometimes I try to "save" Apple, it was because the other side of the fence is getting too ahead of themselves :)

I'm not sure that making a competent phone equals greatest comeback

Good one, they're different though, one is giving a reason to make customers upgrade and stick around, while the other is demands people to jump back to their brand. Not sure of my answer but that's what I perceived

Samsung Galaxy S7/edge shouldn't impress everyone.. no major change from Galaxy S6/edge with the re-introduction of key Samsung features (in other-words the Galaxy S7/edge, should of been the Galaxy S6/edge). M10 to me seems to be the only phone that really did a come back and impress me comparing where they came from.

Why? And I say this as somebody that likes the M10. What did it do that's so much more impressive than the S7/edge?

the front of M10 is ugly.. S7 edge is the most beautiful phone.. and best camera, last longer battery, best performance with Exynos. HTC 10 has batter speaker only but not that much..

How did the S7 edge "Impressed" you? We have seen the design before, All the S7 is the S6 with S5 features.. how does the added features of expandable storage "Impressed" you when for a samsung phone it should of been stranded and never should of been dropped? Its performance is not "Impressive" compared to previous years, the same goes with battery and i could say the Note 4 has a much better camera, apart from night time shots.

I didn't see an icrap SE on the list? Where were you looking? Oh wait, I see, you've used icrap instead of iPhone, that's hilarious, amazing, witty, hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. Ooh my sides are hurting, where do you guys come up with such great humour!? :D

As brainwashed as Darth thinking his opinion matters ;).

No freaking way, call the cops, darthmole. There's a huge market for a 4" phone - and so far the manufacturers skimped out on performs e for these. iPhone SE is probably the fastest and future proof device because they got latest iPhone internals (which is already crazy fast) and a screen that doesn't tax the battery and processing speed. I know it's not a difficult to make this phone fast - the sum of its parts are basically pulled off the shelf - but it's gonna make a lot of people happy - especially those that prefer iOS but don't want a big phone.

It doesn't really seem fair to have offerings from companies like Xiaomi and Meizu in the same list as legitimate manufacturers and their real flagship devices...

If I can place two votes, definitely S7 Edge & HTC 10.

Nothing impressed me so much that I would buy it rightaway or has thrilled me so much. S7/edge got my attention though. G5 is meh (V10 is way better). HTC 10 is almost. SE is idk. Sony needs more something "exciting". Others are doing fine i guess
