Odd thing to do for a talent show... but whatever, when I was a kid, I thought I was cool for memorizing the whole theme song to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Still though, I find it comical when I see videos like this and the one were Microsoft sales reps are able to pressure a 12 year old girl to buy a surface. It's like the only people buying MS products these days are impressionable little kids that simply just don't know any better. Don't give into the sales rep pressure kids, say no to Windows!

And SAY NO TO TROLLS.

lol, well watch the video I referenced above. The little girl had 2 to 3 sales reps crowding her, not to mention the camera guy, and they were behaving like some overly aggressive used car salesman. The video was meant to be a promotional video for Surface, but the store workers rubbed me the wrong way and I felt that the girl would end up regretting her purchase the moment she unboxed the tablet at home.

Howdy all, I'm WinPhan Jr.'s super proud dad! Just to clear up some of the very silly comments I read regarding him. First of all, NEITHER MYSELF or my son were approached by Microsoft, this was 110% my son's idea he had. I offered nothing further than the same encouraging support any parent would offer the child for any project, I was and still am very excited this is what HE CHOSE TO DO! The topics were his, he thought of the music to accompany his ideas as well, HE IS A BRIGHT AND CARING boy. Yes, he has tried other OS's and quite frankly, he just doesn't like using them...Windows Phone is what he loves to use. He did such a wonderful job at the talent show, people have since inquired about WP. If you have negative stuff to say, keep it to yourself, this was a 10 year olds honest attempt at being creative, maybe the trolls here who have bashed unnecessarily here should try being creative too. Yes I'm proud of him...hats off and bravo! :)

So what exactly was his talent? Brainwashing completed? Ten years old an has a preference, or a pattern. Parenting fail.

Why can't you just accept the fact that there are people who love WP (and ios)? Not everyone has to like what you like.

This was not about the kids choice, this is about heavy parental influence and it's effects. Wait till kid finds he is butt of jokes for this later on amongst his peers, not sheltered thrifty parents.

" This was not about the kids choice, this is about heavy parental influence and it's effects." Was it a negative influence? He did say that he tried other OS's.

Tried, as in, tried it in the store? At any rate, I hope his peers think alike, or are open minded. Most kids are about fads an icons, they might eat him alive for this.

" Tried, as in, tried it in the store?" You'll have to ask the father. And kids at this age shouldn't own a phone.

Public speaking, and presentation maybe? Most of you basement dwelling internet warriors here can't socialize worth a damn, no less speak in public, and only claim to fame is the "master of the internet" of your own mindset. And to your "Ten year old an has a preference, or a pattern." You obviously don't have a child - of course the have preferences. Cowboy vs. indians = preference. Favorite cartoon = preference. Favorite food = preference. Reply Fail!!

That would mean, before 1990. Yes, just a coffee, you could just be old, And not very wise.

Nothing on the kid, kudos to him. However, you lost any credibility based off of bias strictly based off of your username.

The presentation was cringeworthy but I guess it's okay for someone his age.

I really couldn't care less what OS this kid was hammering on about, using children as marketing tools is wrong, but it's common in the US.
