Vivo brings the first dual pop-up camera phone
On the quest to achieve the highest uninterrupted screen-to-body ratio we've already had our fair share of crazy ideas like wide notches – sorry, Apple – narrow notches, moved to V-shaped and dewdrop ones, did sliders, pop-up or flip cameras, shark fins, display holes and whatnot.

How about a dual pop-up camera phone, said Vivo, and rolled up their collective sleeves over the V17 Pro. The dual selfie pack consists of a 32MP primary camera alongside an 8MP wide-angle sensor. The pop-up itself also houses an LED flash for night selfies, smart.

The photographic abilities on the back are not too shabby, either. The new Vivo sports no less than four cameras there, making it the first complete six-banger this side of the Galaxy S10 5G.

How about a 48MP Sony IMX582 sensor, plus a 13MP telephoto camera with 2X zoom, an ultra-wide and macro photography 8MP camera, plus a 2MP bokeh sensor for aiding portraits. The main camera has, needless to say, a Night Mode of sorts, HDR, adn all the contemporary trappings.

Other than the crazy camera kit, the Vivo V17 Pro is an interesting mix of midrange and high-end. It is powered by a Snapdragon 675 processor, but sports 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.

Finally, the phone sports a large 4100mAh battery pack, coupled with an 18W fast charger in the box. Needless to say, the dual pop-up camera is what sets it apart, so we'll be putting it through the selfie paces when we get a chance to test them.
