Video shows OnePlus 2 ringing up a disappointing AnTuTu score with 1080p screen and 16GB of storage (UPDATE)

Watching a phone running through the AnTuTu benchmark test can get a little tedious at best, downright boring at other times. But since the phone is the eagerly awaited OnePlus 2, the process has been recorded on video. The score was a disappointing 49,221 which might get everyone talking about how OnePlus has throttled the Snapdragon 810 chipset employed by the phone. Those rumors started after the phone scored 51,460 on the test...

People are neglecting the fact that the video showed seemingly false information

Low quality Chinese handset hardware and software uncalibrated instances, no doubt.

My S6 Active over 70K on Antutu. Water proof, dust proof, best battery, most accurate display.

I thought about getting it but I am not comfortable with physical buttons instead of captive touch keys, especially for back.

1080p is the perfect screen resolution for smartphones in my opinion (of course with a higher ppi pixel density, between 400ppi and 500ppi). It is perfect for: 1- The looking (~5" screen Smartphones don't need a higher screen resolution to look amazing). 2- battery saving. I think OEMs makes higher screen resolution (than 1080p) just for marketing matters, that's all.

GUARANTEED this is because of the SD810. Microsoft better be worried about their new flagship(s) coming witht he 810 SoC instead of the 820.

Windows Phone is so far behind no one would care. Microsoft has bigger issues to deal with. Like destroying Nokia. It would take a miracle for Microsoft not to lose it's existing customers. Only sub $100 budget phones are keeping their phone business alive.

you missed the point. I could have just as easily said LG/Google/Huawei with the Nexus. The point is that the 810 SoC is immolating phones

Windows Phone is a dead platform. Windows 10 mobile is the future and ahead of android in terms of capabilities. Android is a joke and a very inefficient and less secure platform. Android always lags over time, no matter how great the hardware it is running on. IOS is far less secure than android(which only has a few security issues), it has more than double the security issues of Windows 7, 8 and 8.1 combined.

All the vendors should sue Qualcomm and put them put of business. They are just sitting aND doing nothing about their crappy crapdragon 810.

Actually they need qualcomm and want them to stay in business.. Thats why they still use 810.

Shoot, I'm using a snapdragon 400, 720p Mate2, which does horrible, compared to these high end (and high price) 8xx devices, but, it's smooth, fast, no lag, runs all the current software (I'm not a gamer) just fine. What people don't realize, is they are buying on the idea that you have to have a super duper processor, to do any good. The SOFTWARE apps that run on your device, are designed to run on Jelly Bean, through Lollipop. The software can't take advantage of all of that horsepower. Even if it did, what good would shaving 1/2 a second over booting up, running apps etc? The majority of people, browse the web, text, photos, play video or music. It's not like they are trying to solve the Pi argument or discover some new use for E=Mc2. It's the more is better myth. More megahertz for the CPU's in the 90's, more megapixels for the cameras, faster processors. It's WASTED. It basically drains your battery & your wallet faster.

Unlike screen resolution faster processor is not gimmick.. It just mean its more efficient and drain less battery. More megapixels is always better if its actually improve the quality.. Basically your complain is misplaced.

Looks like something Samsung probably posted to make the phone look bad! Lol

1080p is fine for 4.7-5.2" phones.On 5.5"+ phones, I want a QHD screen.

I'll be really happy if it really is a 1080p display.

And at the end, no other companies can even come near Samsung. The king is still Samsung!

According to some leaks they launch three versions this this time and could be a basic version with 1.5ghz snap 808 processor.

I hope so that there is a cheaper variant like this. I wouldn't care about Antutu scores because above 30k, the phone is smooth. I wish this is a $199 version.

That is virtually the same score as my Nexus 6, only my Nexus 6 has higher resolution.

I hope that this is a cheaper variant... like $199. I won't care with the QHD variant.
