The LG Vortex runs Android 2.2, but still is considered an entry-level device. With a 600MHz processor, Ev-Do rev.0 connectivity and a 3.2 inch screen, the specs are not exactly what you would see in a flagship model, and Verizon is pricing the phone accordingly. Just as T-Mobile is doing with their new LG handset, Verizon is giving the unit away for free after a $100 mail-in rebate and a signed 2-year contract. While no release date has been announced, we would expect the LG Vortex to be launched sometime this month as to become an option during the holiday shopping season.
