I'm more believing that Motorola will be incorporated more into the following nexus device. I think that that's really when the partnership will go together. an S4 Pro along with (high quality) 2GB of RAM will be great conbined with motorola's large batteries. I really prefer anything under 4.5 inches in screen size. I would (honestly) never expect Motorola to make a good camera. MP don't really matter, Moto's cameras suck.

this is great but i just got my Razr M today. i got it as a warranty exchange for my Razr (oops! i did it again!) so i'm in pretty good shape here with my completely free M. it's a very nice phone. it's gonna take some time getting used to the size but this is really just going to be an inbetween phone for me to use until something more interesting comes up but now that i have this M my bar is really set high. i doubt i'd put myself through any trouble to get a Razr HD now, the next phone i get has to have some serious power.

But it's let down by Dual core and 1Gb Ram!

thats not a let down man.......a let down would be more like no sd slot, weak battery life, and me personally i dont like amoled screens which it has....but dual core 1gb ram is still very much sufficient bro lol

lol, not really man. for what this is it's plenty powerful. remember all the SIII has over this is a larger display at a higher resolution but in the end it's 256ppi vs 306ppi so it's mostly a preference thing especially when you consider battery consumption and the SIII has the extra GB of RAM and a better camera but that's it. their batteries only have a 100mAh difference, they both have the exact same processor at the exact same clock frequency, they both have NFC, i really came out like a bandit getting this thing like i did.

well as far as quality is concerned it's exactly the same as the Razr but this edge to edge design is a total mind f**k! i love how compact this phone is and to know i'm not giving up any screen real estate over my Razr is such a great thing. after coming from a Razr and most recently a Galaxy Nexus running JB i'm really liking the UI. i've only had it for a few hours but so far it's been quite snappy. (i always go into the Developer options and turn the animation scales to .5x to give the snappiness a little boost with all my devices) i love the Circles Widget, it's very useful and using this thing in the car is so, so, so much easier thanks to Smart Actions and the phone's compact size. the Browser feels smooth but only expectingly so when you consider the S4 this thing has and being that Chrome is the default browser. i haven't tried any games yet but the Quadrant tests show good frame rates so i imagine gaming will be smooth.

ICS, but it promises a JB update before December or else you get $100 out of their pockets.

How much off contract?

Not a big fan of their smartphones, but I have to give Motorola some credit here. For an extra $100, Apple gives you 16 extra GB of storage. For the same $100, Motorola gives you 16 extra GB of storage & 30% more battery life. I owned many Motorola feature phones back in the day...unfortunately, their smartphones just don't do it for me...however, I know better value when I see it.

$299.99 is way to much for that phone. Ugh!

why is that? may i remind you that the MAXX outsold the 4S at this price point.

This for $300 or the GSIII for $199. I would buy an extended battery with the difference in money. Think about it

yeah, if you don't mind having a Brick. remember another way this Razr has been "Maxxed" is in it's internal storage. the HD MAXX has 32GB of internal storage so really you'd be comparing this to the 32GB SIII which is $250.

Extended battery is $25+$250(32GB GSIII)=$275 $275

oh yeah? well i think i'd spring for the $25 to have a phone with a 3300mAh battery that keeps it's thickness down to 9.3mm and has much, much better build quality. where are you trying to take your argument now? $299 is way too much for a phone like this but $275 isn't? lol okay.

The GSIII is actually $199.99. Not everyone needs 16GB of memory or the extended battery. My first comment was only saying $299.99 is too much for a phone. Then you compared it to the 4S. I never said I wasn't getting the Maxx HD.

well if that's the way you want to do it then a more accurate comparison would be to the $199 Razr HD which has 16GB of storage and a 2530mAh battery. the extra $100 for the MAXX is just $25 over what it would cost to "MAXX" out an SIII and for that extra $25 you get it all in a nicer, seamless package. i never even brought up the 4S. it's a lot of money sure but it adds up and besides we all know you can get it cheaper anywhere else but from the carrier.

read the first comment you put on this it says, "why is that? may i remind you that the MAXX outsold the 4S at this price point."

the only point i was making with that is that the MAXX was able to outsell a popular device like the 4S which started at $199 at the $299 price range. i could've said the same thing about the Galaxy Nexus or the Rezound and it wouldn't have mattered.
