My money's on first week of November, to commemorate the Droid's 2nd birthday. One groundbreaking stock Droid deserves another.

Verizon wouldn't push out three flagships on top of each other, but they could release one a month. Bionic in Sept, Vigor in Oct, Prime in Nov.

I hope it isn't filled with bloatware. It shouldn't be since it is technically a Nexus device but since they are calling it Droid Prime I am a little worried.

If this has 4g lte this thing will be my next phone for sure.

Yeah I think I will go with this over the Vigor also. It will already come loaded with Android 4.0 ICS and get the latest updates. This will be the phone for me...I cant wait :-)

I see the Prime and Vigor appealing to slightly different crowds. I for one think the Prime will be too big for my tastes (looks like Epic Touch size) while the Vigor is in the sweet spot. But many people here seem to think bigger is always better. Both will have high res screens, but the Prime will have an edge at 720p while the Vigor is probably qHD. Sense vs ICS... it's good to have options.

its nice to know that its an 8mpx camera instead of the 5 that they kept claiming.

If there really is an exclusivity period with it, they need to hurry up and launch it so we can get past that exclusivity period and put it on all carriers. :)

I just read on another site there will be a GSM and CDMA version of the phone as mentioned by the rep this guy talked to. So supposedly it will be offered on every carrier. I dont care if verizon gets it first. I just dont want to wait 2 or 3 months for the rest to have it. That will suck and i'll just pass it up. :(

To compete against iphone it needs to be everywhere iphone will be....which according to rumors will be every major carrier this year.

I just want a phone to replace my Original Droid. The Bionic is the first one to have something similar to what I want, but too close to the Vigor and the Prime to be considered. These two phone (hopefully) will be the stars for V's Holiday Lineup, not counting the ibrick.

I hate to be the one that says this but I am not expecting this device to go over well with apple.

I don't understand why cameras need to go any higher. 8 MP is already digital camera quality. Kick it up to 10, 12 or 15 MP and all you get are photos that take up more and more storage space. Unless you routinely print posters, 8 MP is all you need. Anything more would just be for bragging rights.

i dont think apple is that naive. im pretty sure they've planned an awesome device. last year they had the retina screen while everyone else was piddling with 480x800. they also had the front facing camera. they are pretty well known for future proofing and setting the bar for everyone else.
