Verizon introduces three new Nationwide messaging plans
For those individuals who use their cell phone, Blackberry, or Smartphone more for texting and data than for voice calls, Verizon has now introduced new Nationwide messaging plans that could be your answer. These new plans are offered as "stand alone", which means you are not required to have a voice calling plan. Messaging prices range from $34/month for standard cell phones, to $54/month for PDAs, Blackberries, and Smartphones. All of them include unlimited IM, text, picture and video messaging, web browsing and data usage. Unlimited E-Mail access is included with the $54 plans, but users of the $34 plan can add Mobile E-Mail service for $5/month. If you happen to find yourself in a position where you need to make a call, per-minute voice charges are 40 cents with the $34 plan and 25 cents with the $54 plans.
