Verizon goes contract free

Verizon goes contract free
Last week we heard rumors that Verizon Wireless would begin offering a contract free option on their plans, and yesterday it was confirmed by the carrier. Users must pay full price for their phone, or can bring their own CDMA device (this, we have a feeling, may have some serious limitations) and must pay the activation fees. Their competitive chart isn't quite accurate, and Verizon is actually the last carrier to bring this option to market, though customers can pick any voice and/or data plan which make's Big Red's offering more robust. For those of you who have been looking to sign up but couldn't stomach the contract your time is here!
