Verizon-bound Galaxy Note 5 passes through benchmark, reveals Exynos 7420 and 4GB RAM

As we get closer to the release of the Samsung Galaxy Note 5, so does the rate at which related leaks and intel intensify. We're no stranger to this phenomenon, and the closer we get to the big date, the meatier the leaks will get. Case in point: a tip was just sent in, drawing our attention to the existence of a recent Note 5 pass through the Geekbench test suite...

8 small cores vs 2 big cores? Hmmmm, I wonder why the iphone scores higher on the single core? Why? How come the iphone multi-core score is so low compare to note 5?

Oh, it will lose in some benchmark tests... What a pity! But noone cares because multicore performance of Note blows iPhone away.

Ill keep my note 4. As for the look of the phone it hidden inside a case. Same goes for my wifes GS5.

I dunno, looks like just a screen protector. Looks identical to a 4.

My GS5 worked out well today I have the GS6 and certainly better but the S5 has attributes that are needed as water proof and the larger battery.

I don't believe in this score. If Galaxy S6 it has a single-core score of 1500 and 5500 in multi-core, it can't be true. If it was 1750, 1800 in single-core perhaps. What i think it is a pre-production unity. I believe if it will be the same chipset but with a upping frequency and with the gpu with two more cores.

It will score al most same as S6 not more since there is no change in architecture or it's not a die shrink (as 7420 was from 5433). Being note they could have increased clock a little as bigger phone would have better cooling but being glass phone clock frequency bump is unlikely. I don't think they will add more GPU cores, they could have upgraded (to T8XX) though.

That's not final software.

specs are pretty solid... USF2, 7420, big battery, 4gb ddr4 ram... there is no competitor of Note Five yet... what else we can get as a beastly option? phones with crapdragon? or overly priced 8mp dual core 1gb ram Tin can of soda?those who are saying that Note Five is not an improvement over note 4 can look at 5433 vs 7420, 3gb ddr3 vs 4gb ddr4, usf2 vs emmc, 3200mah vs 4000+mah... if Note Five will have USB C port then I am on Note 5. I will not wait to see LG G4 Pro, Acsend mate 8 or Lumia 940xl

Yep all features are best but Samsung could have done ever better, may be some bump in camera, no new SOC (at least they should have improved GPU to T8XX), USB Type C doesn't look to be on there. And A72 and SD820 is coming which will bring better single core performance.

What about the Note Tablet? It should better come with USB type C or else it's a big Disappointment to be after waiting since last year...

What I find funny about the supposed photo is that the "5" on the boot screen looks so fake you can't miss it. Def not final product

Well, looks like Qualcomm might as well start calling it quits. Samsung seems to be Exynos for the long haul, and won't be long before LG follows.

Hope that note 5 would at least behave as it is expected with those 4gigs of ram because the s6 is just miserable by that way. As it can't even meet back alot of apps you left behind due to its silly ram management.

They never use the same soc in the note as they do in the galaxy s's. probably a prototype score.

I think these leaks are real, seeing as though the phone is actually built by now, and being field tested. Ladies and gentlemen, get ready for one helluva device.
