Verizon and Adobe partner to create Flash-based mobile ecosystem
Verizon Wireless and Adobe Systems Incorporated announced that they have formed a strategic alliance to develop what they call mobile ecosystem, based on Flash technology. It will allow developers create Flash content, applications and data services, targeted at Flash-enabled mobile phones. This agreement hints that Verizon will be the first wireless carrier to offer such handsets on the US market. The developers will be able to use Adobe(R) Creative Suite and Macromedia(R) Studio tools from Adobe. The two companies haven't revealed any information, regarding the financial agreements or possible launch dates.
