Verizon Wireless announces VCAST, 3G multimedia service

Verizon Wireless announces 3G multimedia service, called VCAST, which will use EV-DO high-speed data technology. It is expected to be available at the beginning of February. VCAST customers will get unlimited access to a wide array of more than 300 daily updated videos from leading content providers as well as unlimited browsing of Verizon Wireless' Mobile Web 2.0 news and information service. It will cost $15.00 monthly in addition to their regular Verizon Wireless calling plan. Consumers will also  be able to download music and videogames at an extra charge. The VCAST service will work with three phones, including LG VX8000.
