Verizon Wireless Blitz coming next week?
Last month, we published information on a few phones coming with Verizon Wireless, including the UTStarcom TXT8010. Now, Engadget confirms that it will be available at Wal-Mart on August 8, under the Verizon Wireless Blitz name. It will be offered as an INpulse prepaid phone (expect a low price), but it still looks promising with slider form-factor, hiding a full QWERTY. Features include a 1.3-megapixel camera, VZ Navigator, VCAST Music, microSD slot and stereo Bluetooth. The pictures also show a pretty orange theme.

This is perfect for me cuz i have the Env and i just wanted to upgrade to something different and affordable. The Env2 is nice but its like the same exact thing but sexier. Everyone has the Voyager now so its not special anymore. LOL and by the time i get it, they will probably have a new one comming nxt yr some time. The Gylde, Moto q, and Palm Treo just suck. And this seems like it might be a winner!!!

i think u mean the Palm Centro. LMAO and yea dey suck. I agree with u on the Env thing. The Env2 is the same shit!!!! and i do alot texting on the front of my Env wen im multi tasking and w.e and the Env2 seems dificult and annoying to do that with. The Voyager and Glyde are nice but think im too clusmy for them...

This phone is for pre paid customers.

well I DON'T RECOMMEND THE GLYDE it gets all these pain in the ass glitches its a cool phone but just 2 many glitches i have gone threw 3 glydes cause they were all defective here i come blitz or env2 ehh either one is better than the glyde peace =D

22. unregistered

this thing is so sexy and sleek i want it, much better than samsung, motorola, and especially lg's crap

my first look at it, i thought it was a phone for like 8 year olds. but then i looked into it, and it actually looks like a pretty nice phone. i want a QWERTY keyboard, and i've been between the motorola q9m and this. bit i've heard that the q crashes a lot. so this is toward the top of my list.

I was just looking for the cheapest QWERTY phone I could get on Verizon without a contract extension so that I can save that for the Storm/Thunder. Looks like I'll be hitting up local Wal-marts for this one.

26. unregistered

But if it is prepaid, can it be changed over to an existing plan using the ESN number?

27. unregistered

By the way, the cost is $99.00. Now that's ph(F)at

Yes you can have it as your new phone on your existing plan iwhtout an extension, as long as it has no contracts attached to it yet. It's not something that Verizon really wanys people to know because it's so much cheaper to go out and get a pre paid phone than to buy one through them, but they can't say no if it's a Verizon phone. I've done it three times before without problem.
