Users report iPhones 6 and 6s turning off by themselves, cause not yet identified

Fans and users of the Apple iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s devices have reported that after updating to the new iOS 9.0.2, their handsets have started acting cranky on random occasions. Apparently, the phones will decide to turn themselves off — no matter if the user is currently operating the device, or it's just on standby — and the only way to fix them is to perform a hard-restart (hold down the home and power buttons for as many seconds as it takes for the Apple logo to reappear on the screen).

Yeah you said GS6 but that and the edge are different, that threw me off because the regular GS6 was spot on perfect out if the box. It's different though because the edge manufacturing process was brand new. Different from this entirely.

It's the latest Apple's battery saver, but is still in beta. Shuts down your mobile to save your battery.

nothing impressive in fact. Some website sold to Apple tricked battery test to show otherwise but reality is iphone 6 to iphone 6S battery life is about the same. but yeah the iphone 6S + got a better improvement.

I cant tell if serious. If you are....think about that for a minute: A device shutting down to refresh the RAM. Imagine a PC doing that....

They also updated the ultra super charger function of the 6s if you put it in the microwave to charge it.

I want to know darkjeddi's opinion on this. He's using iphone so he can say if the device is fully faulty or not.

I wouldn't rely on him. He loves Apple and is a sample size of exactly 1.

He's pretty impartial. Loves Apple, but he's impartial (loves Android too). Still, he is a sample of one. You need a large sample size before something rises to the level of being a problem.

My device hasn't shut down yet. It did freeze on me during set up on the wifi screen and I had to reboot and I had some lags from the new animations but that's it so far. Then again it's my work phone and I am still on vacation, I haven't actually made a call or use any apps besides safari on it yet.

Problems happen, no need to make it a Apple/Google/Samsung battle. Every phone has some problem or other.

Every iphone or ios launch as problem since ios 6 lol.. When its happen from time to time ok but when its happen everytime there something wrong. So Apple need to stop been a cheap ass money hungry corporation and put more cash into quality testing before selling crappy betaware phone.

Yep, I guess you live in a universe where Android doesn't exist, otherwise you'd be posting the same thing for Samsung, LG, Sony, and etc... Why only attack Apple - Look at Lollipop, look at any Android version: any new version of Android only covers under 20% of the market for the first year and they still find problems... At least Apple hits 50-70% within a month world wide - you are gonna find some infinite combination of apps, settings and devices to run into a problem. Think logically for a minute....

True, Apple has good ecosystem and that's what i love from iOS but saying they don't have any issues is totally lie. My iPad/iPod touch oftenly crash and force close an apps many times but that's all i can say since i used them as secondary device and not relying too much on them so it won't be a big problem.
