Simple and logical solution Apple could easily make available to every iDevice user on the planet; give users the freedom to restore to an OS that was compatible with their device and they liked. But no, this will ruin the planned obsolescence of old devices and cut into Apple's profit...

I've definitely noticed some lag on my iPhone 6 with the update. But it's very minor and hardly an issue. I'm sure it'll be ironed out in a future update.

Yep, I switched to ios9 on the 6. Def noticed lag (nothing dramatic) when using the multitasking specifically (read: double clicking home button). Otherwise everything else seems buttery smooth

No issue here on the 5S. I always fresh install .0 updates though.

My 5C completely went to crap where my lockscreen would only show blank background screen. I had to manually restart the damn thing to get back

I just updated my mom's iPad Air to iOS 9 and what I have noticed already is some serious frame-dropping throughout the UI, especially at multitasking menu, except for scrolling lists, like in settings app for example, which goes buttery smooth. It's kind of dissapointing to see that, Air was stuttery in iOS 8 already, but it is way more noticable at 9. Although, my 5S seems so far so good, but also dropping frames here and there (control center), but not nearly as bad as iPad.

iOS Lag????????? NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! iPhones don't lag. The OS is optimized to run on 1GB of RAM. iPhones NEVER lag. This article has to be BS. - Says iFan. Jokes aside, I haven't upgraded my wife's iPad, but I do have a Mini. So far I notice the animations stutter and the games too several seconds to load even after loading them the first time. I guess I will play with it more tonight.

Only complaint the users at my work have, is that the APN settings reset and mobile data is no longer available.

iPhone 5s and iPhone 6 ?! looks like there is a 64-bit specific issue or bug ? Anyway, i wouldn't be complaining if i had an iPhone 4s with iOS 9 lagging, as the iOS 7 spoiled iPhone 4 with endless lags and lower frame-rates that was the experience of my friend so if someone have something else to say, don't bash me :D

No lags, but I have a few apps that crash instantly.

It's an OS. There are going to be bugs in the initial release, and every subsequent release. You'll never iron every bug out of something so complex.

That's what they get for including the gimmicky force touch. The lags are probably IOS acting weird without a force touch panel.lol

Well, well. Guess what happens when you add a couple of features? lol. So funny. See how amazing it is that Android users still have 2x the features yet very minimal lag? If apple tried to cram this amount of features with that hardware it would slow to a crawl.

Android users with minimal lag? Ha ha ha. They lag just as much as IOS users or worse.

A lotta people complaining about their iPhones, don't even have one, it's just a way to not look like trolls. If anyone thought iOS 9 would launch perfect, and bug/lag free, then you're an idiot. Continue trolling...as you were.

And you know this as an absolute fact? As far as updates being perfect? Why shouldn't they be? After all, its you guys who claim Apple doesn't release anything unless its perfect. Fact - All operating systems are complex. There is never going to be a bug free software. No one expect no problems with iOS. What has changed is the latest iOS versions, namely 7, 8 and now 9 have more issues than 4,5 and 6 did. We are talking about IOS, which has the least amount of features vs any operating system to date. A platform with no much limitations would be less problems. Example, if I have a machine with 5 moving parts, and you have a machine with 25 moving parts, no one is saying neither of us will have problems. What we will say is, one of us should have far less problems. This is why YOU guys should never claim iOS is this or that and Apple is this or that. The problem is you put Apple up to high where they dont deserve to be. In fact no company should ever be. The problem with you all is, nothing is ever a problem unless you yourself is having the same problem. With over 700M devices, just because I may have a problem doesnt mean you will. That is just a stupid ignorant way to think. The other stupid way is, they couldnt possibly have the phone, they cant afford an iPhone, their just trolling or haters. That is always the answer. If bendgate wasnt an issue, why did Apple use stronger aluminum on the 6S? If AntennaGate wasnt a problem, then why did they alter the design of the 4S? Why did they give away cases they so surprisingly had made based on iFans? I'm not saying people dont troll Apple, however most of it is well deserved based on YOUR own post.

Um Techie I've never read a post from darkkjedii claiming that Apple is perfect. Chill out a little.

Exactly bro. As usual, I didn't even bother reading his post, and have nothing to say to the troll. +1

Yeah, I'm always trolling when I'm right. The problem with fans is always the same. When they can't argue a well made point, they resort to the same 3 tired reaponses: You have to be a troll or a hater Don't own an iDevice Apples sales numbers. Every apples fans post Falls in one of the 3.

Says the troll, who was an ex-troll. So from your point of view, just because he hates Apple and the users, he's a troll. Lmao. So if I hate you I'm a troll. Wtf.

I never said he did. He said "you guys". I guess neither of you understand English. You can me one person of a group of people. In my context it is obvious I am speaking of you in a group, not anyone by themselves

So does iOS 9 fix most problem that's bugging you on iOS 8? Different people, different usage may cause different experience. My M8 stutter a bit after an update, drop down notification panel oftenly delay 2-5 second & every update never fix this problem (yet some people claim sense is the best Android skin). Touchwiz on my Note 3 seems much better.
