obviously is a screen protector for some other device (probably a Samsung) since this phone has not been officially released yet, thus there isn't accessories for it.

When it comes to design, no one can overtake Sony. Sony believes in design than features or specs. Let's recall the stolen design that Apple took from thier Sony Vaio Z series, and even the IPhone was stolen from Sony. Let's also recall the keyboard design is also stolen from Sony to Apple. Steve Jobs admired Sony deeply.

You're joking right? That's the most idiotic thing you've posted in the last 24 hours. Well, maybe not the last 24, more like 18 hours. (I seem to recall you not knowing Aluminium is a metal)

Actually, he has a point. and Steve Jobs did get alot of inspiration from Sony, he allegedly liked Sony. Who doesn't know aluminum is a metal, today in 2016?

The iPhone looked nothing like a Sony phone, it did look a bit like the LG Prada, but surely not any Sony phone.

The metal band around the iPhone 4 always reminded me of the circa 2002 Sony PEG-SL10 (granted it was silver-colored plastic on the Sony). Now I know why - Apple probably hired away the designer from Sony.http://www.sonyclie.org/images/newer/sl10.jpg.

That's your best argument? I am sorry, but this looks nothing like the iPhone 4.

Apple admire sony design and ask sony to help them with the iphone design. No wonder apple never taking legal action towards sony. Cause without sony iphone will not had what they have now. Thanks to samsung for this news as it might open people minded and look sony as a very strong contender in smartphone world. Smartphone not only about high spec itself. Its include design and many other element to bond with the user. Love sony since 1987 - till now.

>Admits an extreme level of bias >Offers Samsung as a witness (with no evidence to speak of) >Believes said evidence to be factual despite said lack of evidence .....Seems legit :D.

Sony's devices are nicely designed, yeah, but it's time to let go of the bezels. There's absolutely no reason to have bezels that big especially considering Sony uses the on-screen navigation buttons. I did defend the huge bezels back when I had a Sony Xperia Z Ultra, because they offered a place to rest your thumbs while watching a movie or whatever...but that would still be possible even if they slimmed them down just a tiny bit.

That's what I really dislike about my Z5. It needs to get rid of half-an-inch...

Wow, another LED Flash means it'll take 2 minutes before the camera overheats.

Overheating is a standard with Sony phones.

My Z5 Premium has a 4K screen for photos and videos so why not put that on every Sony phone even if it is just too be different? I love Sony phones but none of the new ones make me want to buy. Sony needs some inspiration form smart young people or smart old people or somebody.

I completely agree with you here... and after my Z3C broke, I was expecting the X Performance to be a nice replacement, however I was wrong, cause the entire X line currently SUCKS... They drop many popular features, not only 4K recording, but also Small Apps, eyelet hole for straps, fingerprint still missing in the US, FM Radio... disappointing S-t-B ratio and smaller battery size than previous gen. On the other hand.... I still have a tiny bit of faith in them, and this handset, while not as "pretty" as the Z line, reminds me of my former Acro S which I loved. IF this new phone is half as sturdy as the Acro S was, I will definitely get one.

Sony has the ONLY phone that can record 4K video and show it on a 4K screen on the phone. I cannot understand why they would give that up on the high end phone?http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/products/phones/xperia-z5-premium/

As per my view, The front of the phone looks like Lumia 920. Though i am a sony fan. Recent Sony phones lack in features and horribly priced. I dont like this new design too..

Even my Z3 had 4k recording and Sony has omitted from latest phones with more powerful processors. I really wonder what Sony has been thinking these days. Software wise, I loved Sony's UI. If they can deliver that same long-lasting battery life of the Z3 with a camera UI as complete and extensive as what LG offers in manual mode, and include OIS, this phone could be a real hit. It also needs to be priced right. Design wise this phone looks pretty sexy to me.

NFC on front like the X and X performance again. Sony designers need to get out more and talk to people or read all the reviews on their phones especially the reviews on the X and X performance so they will know what is wrong with their products.

That is actually the less annoying decision they have made recently... NFC is mostly used for unlocking, pairing, paying and settings today... not so much for sharing. So that location is not so bad for most users...
