Unlocked Nokia 3.1 goes on sale in the United States for $160
HMD Global has just announced its affordable Nokia 3.1 smartphone is now available for purchase in the United States from various retailers such as Amazon, Best Buy, and B&H Video. The price remains the same, so if you've read our previous report you probably know that the Nokia 3.1 costs $160 outright and come unlocked.

However, in this case, even though it comes unlocked, the Nokia 3.1 does not support CDMA carriers in the U.S., so you're limited to AT&T, T-Mobile, Cricket Wireless and other GSM network operators.

On the bright side, Nokia 3.1 is an Android One smartphone, so it should offer a pure Android OS experience; not to mention that it will receive OS and security updates more often than other smartphones in the same price range.

Of course, it ships with Android Oreo on board and it will certainly receive Android P soon after Google releases it. Specs-wise, Nokia 3.1 stays pretty strong against other handsets priced under $200.

The phone sports a 5.2-inch display with HD+ resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 coating, as well as two cameras: a rear 13-megapixel camera and a secondary 8-megapixel selfie snapper. On the inside, the Nokia 3.1 is packed with an octa-core MediaTek processor, 2GB RAM, and 16GB expandable storage.

If Nokia 3.1 is of any interest to you, then you might want to know that it's available in three color combinations: Blue/Copper, Black/Chrome, and White/Iron.
