Unknown reasons have reportedly delayed the official Android O rollout

0. phoneArena posted on 11 Aug 2017, 03:28

According to a new piece of information that is floating around, Android O will get delayed due to unknown reasons, which most likely involve a ton of ironing out bugs and issues. Coming straight from Android Police's David Ruddock, this unconfirmed new rumor basically implies that we wouldn't see Android O get officially seeded to Pixel devices in mid-August, possibly this or next week, which was the public's general expectation...

How can it be delayed if a official release date has never been given?

It’s because they can’t think of a name that isn’t Oreo.

lol, I already have Android O beta working pretty flawlessly on my Nexus 6P right now so I don't really care about the delay aside from wanting to know what the official name is lol.

I watched a side by side performance comparison of the Android O beta and iOS beta and it actually showed the opposite as it out performed the iPhone in most categories. I was especially shocked when they demonstrated the boot-up time where I was convinced that Android would lose by a significant margin, it ended up smoking iOS as it now boots in a fraction of the time it did on Android 7.0. Android O has seen a significant amount of performance improvements, and even on Nougate, the Pixel was just as responsive if not more so than the iPhone.

Umm... I make a point and you resort to childish insults, are you by chance Donald Trump?

Here's the link to the video by the way. And aside from games loading a half second faster on iOS over Android, Android beat iOS in all other examples.
