UTStarcom launches CDM-7000 CDMA handset series

UTStarcom introduced CDM-7000 Series CDMA mobile phones at CTIA Wireless 2005 in New Orleans. The new handsets – CDM-7000, CDM-7100 and CDM-7200 – are dual-band CDMA plus AMPS phones with clamshell design and are targeted at the entry level and mid-tier markets.


CDM-7000 – an entry-level phone, which features:

  • 4k color CSTN display
  • 128 Mb Flash/32 Mb SRAM memory
  • 32 polyphonic ringtones
  • SMS/EMS/MMS support
  • built-in Speakerphone
  • Voice-activated dialing


CDM-7100 – an entry level phone which has the following main features:

  • 65k CSTN (128 x 160 pixels) main display
  • 4k CSTN  (96 x 64 pixels) sub-display
  • BREW


CDM-7200 – the only series 7000 cameraphone, which features:

  • built-in VGA (640x480) camera with flash and optical zoom
  • BREW
