UPDATED: Pictures of mysterious Motorola Android phone appear; it's a fake
A person commenting on a story on BGR has put himself in the center of a story himself. Included with his comments were pictures and specs of a unknown Motorola Android device. With its rounded edges, sleek black design and a sizable 3.8 inch screen, this model looks totally unlike the DROID and has a more..uh...iPhonesque look about it. Besides the display, we can also tell you that there is an 800MHz processor under the hood and an 8MP camera with AF and dual LED flash. As soon as more news on this model comes in, you'll be the first to know. So what do you think?

UPDATE:

Thank you for your comments on the matter! We took a closer look at the pictures now and have to agree that this is a fake. What a shame, it could've been a nice handset...

Could this be a more developed version of the Moto Sholes that tmonews wrote about? http://www.tmonews.com/2009/12/motorola-sholes-tablet-sneak-peak/

Guys this is a fake. It's an Omnia II photoshopped. You can tell because the camera is the exact same as the Omnia II and the side buttons are exactly the same and in the same place. The reflection stops right where the bottom buttons were photoshopped in.

That's because it's photoshopped on top of a GSM Omnia II

Nope, this is a photoshopped Omnia 2. The back is the back of a European Omnia 2, the front just has the Droid soft keys PS'd over the Omnia 2 keys. The phone as pictured does not exist.

Mayhaps we're looking at the rumored Passion/Dragon/Thingy. lol It'd be cool to know which radio is under the hood of that pretty little beast.

Lol. does anyone besides me read the article? Its says it looks nothing like the droid and its kind of true... the only similarities are the hardware buttons and placement of the logo. and to be truthful, this actually looks a lot better than the iphone.

Looks like a non-keyboard version of Droid. Maybe I'm going blind but it's hard to say if that says 5, 6 or 8 MP Camera on back. It could be just the way it's written. I dunno. Either way this looks like a touch screen only version of the same phone. Maybe with Motoblur this time around? Let's see.

I hope that it's not with Moboblur...only because Motoblur is only compatible with 1.5...kind of a let down considering what comes with 2.0; or the up and coming 2.1. I would like a Droid phone w/o the qwerty keyboard.
