These images could be showing how your Windows 10 home and app screens will look like

Back in the end of September, it became clear that Microsoft will be making what feels like yet another attempt at unifying its various platforms into a singular entity in Windows 10. So much so in fact that it literally pronounced Windows Phone dead – it's all Windows 10 now, whether we're talking a PC, a laptop, a tablet, or a smartphone...

if u would have read the article properly ' In case you're unaware, the latest version of Windows Phone (8.1) only allows for the background to fill the iconic tiles, not take a spot behind them, and the app drawer is not available for customization, either. ' WP and Android phone user here !!

Wallpaper? You're easy to please. I'm waiting for Android phones to run full blown Chrome OS when connected to a monitor. And you want wallpapers!

I think Windows might get there first...and that is something I'm definitely looking forward to. From what I can tell, Windows 10 already gets us to that point, it's just going to be a question of whether or not the mobile hardware can adequately run the OS in a docked mode with monitor, keyboard and everything.

I might get one if it's truly like a desktop windows, I don't care about the .exe files, but I do want to customize my phone the way I do for my laptop.

LOL! Photo Is obviously photoshoped just look at the bottom right of the "phone" in both pic 1 & 2. Clearly the black is outside the white in pic 2. Horrible editing...

Also look at the top left of "phone" in pic 1 & 2. Lol who's buying this? And the hand in pic 2 on the left side of the phone where they both meet...

It looks more like a horribly drawn hand holding the phone. Still... ignore the hand there's still 99 problems wrong with this photo.

I like what I see here. and can't wait to upgrade my Microsoft smartphone when the new models come out with Windows 10. But isn't it weird to have "Fake Post" at the end of the list in the second picture?!

YES! Exactly THAT I wanted to see when they announced the wallpaper support on home screen for WP 8.1. THIS! But I am slightly confused. Wasnt Windows 10 on phones supposed to be a whole new experience, like everything wouldnt be all based on Live Tiles anymore and so on? Like, I am betting on my phone and tablet that I read an article here that Windows was searching for a person, who could create a whole new unique UI for the Windows 10.

They never said they were getting rid of tiles. If you look at windows 10, the screen will be adaptive in nature. Tablets will have a tile/desktop switch. It already does but it is not a fast switch and requires a log in/out. And if you look at the windows 10 picture announcement, the phone clearly shows tiles like it has today. What we are waiting for is interactive tiles, and blowout tiles. I also would like a grid based landscape view, where the tiles would 'twist' in place and according to their grouping on which ones would 'switch'.

Again this style? I have read the new Windows is going to look similar to Android OS. The main Menu is a list. I hate it much.

Why would WP look try to look like an OS when that OS has been trying more and more like Windows Phone?. Live Tiles are a major part of WP experience only a fool would dispose of the future of homescreens. Icons are old school.

Because one is just about the absolute top of the food chain while other is I guess, fertilizer at least. Dispose of the future of home screens??? Fact is the world wants one of these, the other is not so much desired.
