The week before Mother's Day, a new 'Shot on iPhone' ad celebrates the bond between mother and child
With Mother's Day due to arrive a week from today, Apple paid homage to that special bond between mothers and their children in the latest ad for the 'Shot on iPhone' series. These are photographs taken by iPhone users and are meant to show the quality of the pictures that are shot using the iSight camera on the back of the handset.

Apple bumped the rear camera to 12MP on the Apple iPhone 6s, while increasing the front-facing FaceTime camera to 5MP from 1.2MP. There is speculation that we will see a dual camera set-up on the back of the Apple iPhone 7 Plus.

Besides using it for television, Apple has employed the Shot on iPhone campaign on billboards, websites and print ads. You can check out Apple's latest promotion of the iPhone camera by clicking on the video below.

That's nice.....I guess. The comments are gonna probably rail them (Apple) but I happen to think the photos look pretty good. Gotta work on gifts for mom. She still uses a 5s (hates phabs) so I'm gonna get her an SE and take out on the town. We haven't had a mother-son get together/date in a few years so it should be epic.

Thats awesome too, but this really isn't a competition. And can we stop throwing the word "innovation" around please. Curving your screen is not innovation. Force Touch (3D Touch or whatever) is not innovation. Taking the battery out of a metal phone (LG) is not innovation. Finally, developing healthcare apps/items is not innovation (everybody does it for obvious reasons). I get it, Apple said it a few years back and it pissed people off. But it has gotten really out of hand lately. Bow if any OEM does something even remotely creative, it somehow becomes innovation. Well that isn't how the word is supposed to be used (in proper context of course) because that makes it all the more easily achievable. If every time some company roles out a new toy with a half-assed feature and we call it "innovation" every company will practice crap like that. I won't accept nonsense like that and neither should any of you.
