The ultra-thin Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e comes with a free gift card at Best Buy
Yesterday, Samsung started selling the Galaxy Tab S5e, a mid-range Android tablet that's just 5.5 millimeters thin, thus being thinner than Apple's newest iPad Air (6.1 mm). Samsung is asking $399.99 for the 64 GB version of the Galaxy Tab S5e, and $479.99 for the 128 GB version - acceptable prices for what the slate has to offer. While Samsung itself currently has no deals or promotions involving the Tab S5e*, you might want to know that the tablet comes with a free gift card at Best Buy.

Best Buy is selling both the Galaxy Tab S5e 64 GB and Galaxy Tab S5e 128 GB with a $25 e-gift card that can be redeemed via e-mail. The tablet is available in three color variants: black, gold, and silver. Now, $25 is not much, and you still have to pay the full price for the Tab S5e, but this is obviously better than not getting anything with your purchase. The $25 gift card can be used to buy anything that's in stock at Best Buy (if a product that you need costs more than $25, you'll have to chip in with the difference yourself).

Running Android 9 Pie, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e sports a vivid 10.5-inch Super AMOLED display with 1600 x 2560 pixels, and is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 670 processor. Other features include a fingerprint scanner, face recognition, a 13 MP rear camera with 4K video recording, and 4 GB of RAM on the version with 64 GB of storage space, or 6 GB of RAM on the 128 GB model. The tablet packs a 7040 mAh battery that can provide up to 14.5 hours of video playback on a single charge. Mind you, this slate does not feature a standard 3.5mm audio jack, but it has an adapter in the box. For a closer look at Samsung's newest tablet, you should check out our Galaxy Tab S5e hands-on.

* you do get 4 months of YouTube Premium for free, but this isn't a Tab S5e exclusive promotion, as it's available with various other new Samsung devices, including the Galaxy S10 smartphone series.
