The perfect iPad Air clone has arrived: this tablet dual-boots Android and Windows 8.1, has 3G connectivity, aluminum unibody, and $200 price

The Apple iPad Air 2 has set the gold standard for tablet design and functionality, but with so much competition from all sides, it’s only logical to expect a similarly great alternative…

I would warn everyone to stay away from any brand from China for the time being as in my experience has been a disaster in getting support for issues that have arise with most of the technology product I have purchased. I am not saying in any way they are inferior no no no. Most of all the products by the major known manufactures are assembled there. What I am addressing is the support side. Where the major known manufactures have offices around the Globe that include the USA the up and coming Chinese manufactures rarely have Support and services offices outside of their home countries. The time and language barrier is also another issue which play into this. I had to learn this the hard way. So, cheaper is not usually the best option there is a reason why things are cheaper. The old adage "let the buyer beware holds true here in my opinion" Please be careful

No support vs Apple Genius Bar and customer service from some foreign country over the phone. Same s**t. IPad Air 2 64GB = $599. Best thing is I can afford 3 of these tablets with $599.

This tablet is garbage... Is a desperate attempt to dethrone the king of tablets, people don't respect desperate things... They want the real thing, the iPad Air ...

.... How is this an attempt to go after apple in any way shape or form? That's like saying Chrysler is going after Rolls Royce because the 300 looks like a Phantom -_- Different markets, different appeal, different price points, etc.

They don't want the huge price tag that comes with it.

And yet it is cheaper and more versatile than an ipad. Amazing how much value one can get when one isn't paying 60% for a logo. Cry more.

Tim Crook you're the garbage. The s**t that Apple has been pulling (charging people way over the actual values of their products) will soon end. I'll throw a party when that happens. I have the iPad mini 2 and the fact is that I'm not allowed to install Adblock enough for me to ditch Apple altogether.

Battery Life = ? if good, i am getting it

It has an 8,000 mAH battery which beats out the iPad Air 2's battery (7,340mAh), so I'd say it'll last quite a while.

34. g2a5b0e unregistered

Oh, right, because everyone knows that battery size directly correlates with battery life. /s

You're right in one respect but with Android switching to the much more efficient ART runtime battery life has improved by quite a bit. Competing tablets such as the Nexus 9 and the Galaxy Tab S 10.5 have smaller batterries but they both last over 11 hours with ART enabled in video playback tests. With this tablet also dual booting Windows 8.1 however, I'm not sure about the Windows side of things.

It does. A bigger battery does last longer. That is fact...not fiction.

53. g2a5b0e unregistered

How dumb can you be? How can you call yourself a techie when consistently say such stupid things on these forums? A lot of battery optimization is done through software. How else do you account for the difference in battery life between two devices with the same specs made by different companies? Are you seriously this dense?

You're the dumbass here. Bigger battery DOES last longer. You optimize the battery on iOS and I do it on Android, let's see which one lasts longer. Next time please STFU because you sound like something is up in your ass.

59. g2a5b0e unregistered

The only thing up my ass is you. You people who come on here & think you know so much about tech crack me up. Yes, in most cases a bigger battery will last longer, but a horribly optimized larger battery might not last as long as a very well optimized smaller one. How difficult is that to understand? If you can't grasp that concept, you're just as stupid as the other guy.

"In most cases a bigger battery will last longer" Hahaha, you just contradicted your very own point. If you're comparing battery optimization with different OSes/softwares, in this case it's iOS vs Android, that depends on how well each firmware version does, whether it's Android or iOS. And with Android, different manufacturer has different method to optimize their devices. What you're comparing is orange vs apple. You're making no damn sense at all. Now FYI, there are apps to optimize the battery on both Playstore and Appstore and we all know how to use them. Also, most people and I can just go into settings and optimize the battery ourselves. Sorry for calling you stupid. Maybe you're just a retard.

64. g2a5b0e unregistered

Yes, I'm a retard. Thank you. You are absolutely correct. Good job.

Only dump one here is you. Ipad Air 2 6000mah vs Ipad Air 2 8000mah. Which one will last longer? How stupid can u be, to not understand such simple thing? Bigger battery does last longer than smaller one. Hard to understand such simple fact? Go and learn english and stop to write such stupid things. lol

62. g2a5b0e unregistered

You can't even spell dumb, you also have atrocious grammar, & you tell me to learn English. You're funny. I'm done wasting my time.
