The iPhone 6 will most likely have more than 1GB of RAM, and probably get NFC for contact payments

Well, it turns out the iPhone 6 most likely isn't coming with 1GB of RAM. A SoC engineer by the name of Todd DeRego has given an educated look at the schematic and explained that it's actually a layout for a NAND flash component - that is, a chip for storing vital information, such as a device's firmware. This means that the schematic doesn't detail the main memory of the iPhone, but a separate component altogether...

The android phones also more advanced and have 1080p screens instead of 640p ones. Android is closer to Linux/windows than iOS.

Its gonna suck because low end androids are coming with 1GB ram. And some buy for specs and some buy for experience and some buy because it is APPLE. They've great brand image and goodwill even if many bash them. and apple's Work smooth because they limit alot of background processing functionality. Trust me we need more ram on iOS devices tooo... I believe iPhone 4 didn't got siri because of limited 512MB RAM (correct me if I'm wrong)

1gb runs fine on Kitkat. Also not to mention Android is a sync heavy OS, offers advanced multitasking, and flagships have 1080p displays.

With a basic OS, iOS will definitely be faster..

I don't think 1Gb would be a problem, there doesn't seem to be to many UI enhancements and most unix like operating systems if built well can utilize very minimal amounts of ram. If I remember right some only require 64mb of ram even today. Apps make it seem like all your memory is eaten up but that's how the operating system works. Takes up the majority backgrounds a lot of it, then allocates what's free to other things or disregards whatever else to use for what you need right now. Android tends to just run on a buttload of devices without any optimization really and more customization, obviously would use a lot more memory that way.

Whatever it is, I don't see iphone 6 to be worthy upgrade from 5s. For the fact that iphone can't multitask I still don't see how iphone users enjoy a smart phone with closed OS. With andriod you can be watching youtube at the same time chatting on hangouts, and other multitasking techniques. Is iphone really a smart phone?

"...other multitasking techniques" - do elaborate? But you're right, I have a 5s and I'm not planning on upgrading - dont need to. iPhone 6 is mainly to bring some customers that wanted a big screen back (if they can) that's why they're also adding bunch of features that most iOS users care little about...

They can's answer. They just keep telling the same BS some Androtakus invented without really knowing why, when, or how it matters.

How about returning to a previous app or web page without your phone having to reload it, with a few seconds delay and possible loss of earlier input as a result...?

I find it hard to believe. But then again, you can't really believe 5H33PS these days. iOS will forever be like that.

My friend, i know you love and favour Apple. Good. But 1GB is not enough for next iphones at least 2GB should be on board. And I'm excited for new iPhones especially the big one. Imaging an iPhone 5.5 inch screen running 2 apps at the same time, isn't that coool??? But for that you'll need more Random Access Memory. It is great u supporting ur favourite company but if i were you I'll give feedbacks/suggestions/or shows my reaction along with my support rather than blindly accept everything that they do is right and is for our good.

Bro, Note II had it in 2012... It can run 3 apps i think on the same screen. And SIII had that video pop-up thing. Apple might be user-friendly or may be better optimized but it is seriously lacking in features...

i don't deny the functionality of these features but tbh samsung crams their phone with so many features such as the one you mentioned and the eye scrolling thing but every friend of mine that has a note 2/3 played around with all these "cool" features when they first got their phone for a few weeks never to be used again after same goes for the s-pen except for a friend that scribbles drawing and another that generally like to keep alot of notes that's just my insight !

I'm sure even apple will put more memory in the next iphone, they are just doing it slower then anybody else. My ipad 2 is starting to be a little slugish on ios 7 then again my nexus 4 has been slugish on 4.4.4 but after i changed my runtime to ART the situation improved.

Still waiting to learn how much RAM the iP6 will be spec'd at. More RAM will be in place for additional multi-tasking, but how much?

1.5 or 2gb ram.. Yipee for the industry leading specs. But hang on. This is apple and they have to be unique. So it could be 1.35gb of ram.

1GB isn't hardly enough. I like to open a lot of apps and tabs on the internet on my iPad. Everytime I switch it has to load it again (apps especially) and its so frustrating having to wait for it due to the lack of RAM. So while iOS interface doesn't necessarily require more RAM, to do more stuff (while you cant really do, due to iOS) more RAM is NEEDED
