The iPhone 6 will most likely have more than 1GB of RAM, and probably get NFC for contact payments

Well, it turns out the iPhone 6 most likely isn't coming with 1GB of RAM. A SoC engineer by the name of Todd DeRego has given an educated look at the schematic and explained that it's actually a layout for a NAND flash component - that is, a chip for storing vital information, such as a device's firmware. This means that the schematic doesn't detail the main memory of the iPhone, but a separate component altogether...

LOL NO, now don't make such embarrassing comments, I've seen how ipad air gives up (crashes) when 3 heavy apps are opened.

Apple definitely can. My lumia 520 is so smooth on 512MB Ram. But they wont be a high-end device do they??????

Apple isn't like Sammy who put 3GB in their products, thus disabling dual channel access, crippling the memory performance, only to play number games instead of reducing memory requirement through optimizations.

You are right they are miles behind Samsung! A 4.7 inch screen isnt going to change anything......

The recent incident where GS5's battery literally *exploded* in the user's pocket will change a lot though.

OH. MY. GOD. Someone please give this idiot a Nexus 5 or better still a Moto X or G and let him change his opinions. Every time I see him, he's always yapping about lag lag blah blah Java blah non optimised android. Its not funny anymore

Don't give him a Moto G; that's not a good device to give someone if you are trying to demonstrate that Android is lag free.

Some people are just in love with the sound of their own voice. Getting him to shut up is a lost cause.

LOL wow, dual channel is more valuable than 1 GB more of RAM, you keep making dumber and dumber comments every day.

only android-anti-apple group sounds like that, bro.. it's getting old...

"With the kind of optimisation Apple is capable of, having only so much memory doesn't sound horrific" It hasn't even happened yet and the excuses are already being lined up. "Hey everyone, the new iPhone only has 1GB of ram but that's okay, Apple optimized the phone for us by not including a screen. All hail Jobs and his Cook."

15. AlikMalix unregistered

That's not an excuse, it's actually a good point based on historic experience with iDevices... The article explained that, what's your excuse? I dont understand some posters here, you constantly complain about editor's opinions but you keep reading from this website... If I'm disappointed by certain show, I stop watching it. what's your excuse?

No it didn't; it just mentions optimizations like it's a given fact. Not allowing multitasking is not optimization, it's adaptation. Apple are just world champions at making limitations sound like a good thing...

What would happen if Android Flagship phones only had 1GB Ram. iPhone 5s (only 1GB Ram and only dual core processor), runs smooth and experience satisfaction is, well... off the top of my head.... here:http://au.ibtimes.com/articles/552921/20140520/apple-iphone-5s-lg-g2-samsung-galaxy.htm#.U_MBqcVdVHU Some buy for specs, some buy for experience...
