The iPhone 5 might look like this when held

0. phoneArena posted on 08 Aug 2012, 09:43

Chances are that the iPhone 5 will be taller than the current model, but how exactly will it look like when you're holding it? Well, here are several renders of the next iPhone that can answer that question with decent accuracy, as long as the device's rumored design and dimensions turn out to be true...

These arguments are just plain silly of Android vs. iOS. My focus of a phone goes beyond the 4" screen. Airplay, Mirroring capabilities, using Spotify, less app crashes, accessing my important apps are what I worry about. Again my interest are multimedia and home theater purposes. If I can turn the channel on my DirecTV and control my A/V Receiver that is what I am worries about. Right now Apple is much better than Android. If you guys disagree let me know.

I agree. I meant to thumbs up not down. Lol but that's why apple is better not just cuz its better quality but there certainly is more you can do it

Undecided. Though it does look more comfy as an actual phone, the aspect ratio looks good for watching content on too. Looks like you should be able to quite easily text/message on the go with one hand as well since the keyboard will be down the bottom. However what occurred to me is that the length increase makes it better held as a game controller, if you turned that thing sideways and held it.

The black version does def look better than the white though.

Has Apple run out of form factor ideas?

I bet the sales will be not nearly as huge as previous models.
And like someone said above...it looks ekhm..retarded. Apple has to put inside something amazingly powerful to drag new customers attention.
Otherwise they will have their own flop.

They can't keep those giant bezels at the top and bottom, it's just gonna be too tall to be comfortable. Although honestly I wish they could make a new design and not one which is almost identical to the previous AND the one BEFORE that. The iPhone 5 should look like the iPad 2/3 but smaller and a 16:9 screen. The home button should be reworked if not removed.

I have a feeling that this is legit iphone 5. The pix could be from Telinh web, if it is more like the phone is for real.

First, it's obvious that white ones are taller than black ones.
Second, all the pictures except the first one have the same camera angle: EXACTLY THE SAME ANGLE! AND THE SAME BRIGHTNESS AND EVERYTHING ELSE! Is that really possible?
So it means that only the cells have been changed. How?!
It is CLEAR: Photoshop!
So don't be amazed with these rumors!
Feel free to share your opinion...

Sorry but to me, the black one looks downright sick. As far as it looking the same as the previous models, how much more can you really change a phone. At least they are making some effort unlike SAMEsung which just does rehashes.

"This changes everything"
I hope not!
This iPhone looks like a piece of garbage!
I want an iPhone 4S soooo badly, and when I get it, I'm not uprgrading to iPhone 5!

So the new iPhone 4 is going to look like ever LG Android Phone over the last 2 years? My G2x is envious...

Its the same look and feel design of the current iPhone 4 range, dont call it iPhone5.
Call it iPhone 4SS - where the extra S denotes Stretched, Silly, Stupid, Stinks,
Take your pick what the extra S means to you

Its all about the iconic image. You will recognize an iphone in everyday possible (blackout, shadow, side view, etc) and you actually remember the design of the first iphone too. Does any1 remember the design of the first andriod? Andriod phones are nice but by the time when I change to a new phone, I will not remember the old android I use.

Again, they are repeating themselves, minor changes in dimensions and that's it. Even the new features which will be added to their new software version IOS6 are really outdated.... Android had introduced them since long time ago (about 2 years).

It seems that after Steve Jobs passed away, we are not going to see any new creativity from Apple.

liongad youre so right let me tell you.....cuz android is so innovative!!!! shut up already, all these smart phone have been doing the same goddamn thing as each other for yrs now. nobody is a big game changer right now. stop acting like android is! cuz they arent as well and they are just as guilty. ohh you have a galaxy s 2, wh in the hell do you feel the nee to get an s3 then? its the same piece of s**t! o you can talk to it and a couple new hand gestures? so f**kng what! everybody does this, htc, lg, and apple of course. so get off apples s**t and accept the facts that "every body" is running out of ideas.

ftyler- seeing as android have polished and matured there os where as apple has just bundled features onto it to keep up with competition and the fact apple keeps going on about innovation when they havent innovated anything proves android is a better OS all round.....and no im not a android fanboy before you try and say it i have the nokia 808.

also the fact you just blab on saying random 's**t ' just makes you look like a kid who got 5 minutes at the computer while his parents were out

only reply if you can hold a proper convo
