The OnePlus 6's design showcased in new fan-made case renders

A number of new fan-made case renders give a glimpse at what the OnePlus 6’s final design could look like. The Chinese OEM has been gradually releasing more and more teasers in regards to its next flagship model, while last year’s OnePlus 5T is also permanently out of stock in Europe, signaling the imminent arrival of a new device. And now, a number of Olixar-branded cases being sold by MobileFun showcase what the OnePlus 6 could look like based on recent rumors.

Starting off with the front panel of the device, the design falls in line with previous teasers by boasting a large, bezel-less display complete with a pretty small notch up top, which itself is home to the front-facing selfie camera and an in-ear speaker. In regards to the rear of the device, this also coincides with previous rumors, showing off a new glass build which will likely result in wireless charging support. In addition, a vertical dual-camera setup, as spotted in previous hands-on images, is present and it is aligned with the center of the panel while also being coupled with a dual-tone LED flash. Furthermore, due to the bezel-less design up front, a rear fingerprint scanner - similar in looks to the one featured on the Galaxy S9 line - is placed below the new camera setup. In terms of the smartphone’s frame, the left side boasts two separate volume up and down buttons, while the right side features the power one. Also, placed slightly above the power key will be the company’s signature alert slider which now features a red accent color, as well as its usual textured surface, in order to help with distinguishing it. On a final design note, as can be seen from the case cut-outs, the USB Type-C port will be placed on the bottom of the device.

The OnePlus 6 is currently expected to be revealed on May 5, with both a Snapdragon 845 and 8GB of RAM confirmed to be featured. Furthermore, a 256GB storage variant will also be available, although 64GB and 128GB alternatives are also expected to be sold. Camera wise, the rear setup is expected to feature a main 20-megapixel lens alongside a secondary 16-megapixel one, while the selfie sensor will also feature a 20-megapixel resolution.
