The Jet Black Apple iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus will now ship in October or November

With pre-orders of the Apple iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus already off and running, the Jet Black version of the phones appear to be the most popular. Earlier today, some configurations of the new iPhone models dressed up in that color were pushed back to a November delivery. While some iPhone 7 units in Jet Black now show delivery in three to four weeks, the iPhone 7 Plus in that hue still shows an arrival delayed up to November...

I think if I were to get one it would depend if I were using a case - with I'd go matte because it's covered anyway but without definitely gloss but not just for look, because it'll be far grippier! In the dry at least... As it is I just bought an SE and am very happy with it, ordered a matte black 7 for the wife so I'll try hers out. :)

I use to have an iPhone 5. That thing use to get get fingerprints pretty bad. I said forget it and got the Jet black. It will be in a clear case most of the time. That Jet black looks like it was cut from a single piece of glass!

Good choice. The Jet Black had that wow factor because it has been a while since Apple has dropped an iPhone with a glossy finish. Not that I just find the matt black the sexiest out of the two, but as you said, it will be a whole lot more durable than the jet black one.

Good choice. The gloss from the logo will look good and offset it nicely. But yeah...when it comes to fingerprints you just can't argue logic.

Good call. Also, there's gonna be a bunch of people who didn't realize how easy the Jet Black scratches. The fact that Apple has already released an official warning, telling people that they will see scratches on the Jet Black, is somewhat unheard of I think. I was surprised to see so many people ordering it, just because of that.

Does anybody have any idea about the new version of iPhone SE in 2017. I am really in love with this little beast. I hope Apple keeps the SE line alive.

I don't but I'm sure they will update it at some point. Its already fast enough. It may gain 3d touch next year.

3d touch proved that it is a gimmick. I would rather have a new design, and bigger battery. Screen resolution is more than enough for such a small screen. And I agree, it is powerful enough and beats the crap out of the majority of smartphones out there, so yeah, no need to update the rest of the specs.

3D Touch is gimmick!!!! Are u serious? Maybe since Google delayed support for an Android rival to Apple's 3D Touch.

In case you missed it, Huawei implemented it on their ANDROID phone before Apple offering it on their iPhone. And I stand by my opinion, I ve seen dozens of reviews, read hundreds of comments from 6s owners, know bunch of people who owns a 6s, and almost everyone agree that it isn't as groundbreaking and useful feature that Apple wanted us to believe it is. Poor developers support tells us much about how useful it is. Not convinced? Then I ll ask you this, why didn't Apple work on improving it for the past year? Why didn't they mention it in their keynote?

Apple already improved the use of 3D Touch in iOS 10 and Apple mentioned this in its June keynote. There is no need to improve its hardware since it is perfect (and the last Keynote was a hardware one). Moreover, this feature is already opened for developers and a lot of apps are using it. On the other hand, I said Google delayed and not Huawei or the others.

Maherk, I use every time my phone is in my hands. Most of my apps are utilizing force touch in one form or another, games as well. Even Google has updated their iOS versions to utilize FT - and they're better because of that. I use it often when I type to place a cursor or select text. I use it every time to jump into setts in parts of the app. I use it to open images in browser, or swipe up to save the image. Force swipe is different from regular swipe on iOS. I do especially appreciate force touch when drawing and inside gameplay. If you use it for a couple months - you'd never go back!!! Hiway phones are extremely limited to how force touch is implemented - there's no multilevel pressure, and there's absolutely zero 3rd party support limiting to only a few uses. Hiway force touch that they introduced a week before Apple introduced theirs was a fail before it was introduced. Out of all the people, I know you know that there's a HUGE difference between apples 3Dtouch and hiway's force touch. And Apple did more than "mention" it during the WWDC introducing a plethora of new additions and uses for force touch.

I would not go far to say that 3D touch is a mere gimmick. But it is true that the feature is heavily underutilized. Infact i expected much more on this with iphone 7 and iOS 10. But i do Not think iOS10 is going to add anything substantial to it. That is why i never miss this feature on iphone se and i am also thinking to skip iphone 7 altogether and wait for the release of se 2017 . Se 2017 in jet black. Wow.

and i really hope that apple will work on screen to body ration of se 2017. Please .

It can't be a gimmick. It's how you use the home button now and it will definitely be how you use it in the anniversary phone.

I actually prefer the matte black also. I tend to not like glossy phones, though the jet black looks great, its just not for me.

Tim cook is a genius. He's made the best iPhone ever. Forget the moto z with all its mods. Its not Jet black. Eat it Motorola. The iPhone will win the innovation award because it's innovative jet black color.
