The Asus Eee Pad Transformer is already in short supply

0. phoneArena posted on 26 Apr 2011, 12:55

The innovative tablet with a battery-toting keyboard dock is now available in the U.S., but it's already sold out; there are individual resellers on Amazon if you're willing to pay, but the dock won't be available 'til May...

Well for the price I am sure it will be on backorder for quite some time. You just can't beat the price for what Asus is offering. It's such a good deal for the great specs it offers. Asus has a real winner there!

it is very nice. they just need to fix some of the bugs it has like the camera not working and the dock not connecting some time. Also if they offered a discount for buying the transformer and the dock at the same time im sure many more people would buy it.

as far as I've seen in reviews many have said that asus worked some bugs out and and that the demo unit errors may not be on the final product.... but will have to wait and see

some wise man once said
"the only way to loose a battle is by not showing up" so Im guessing asus wants to be on the market before it gets crowd

I would guess it is easy to sell out of something when they only have 3 to begin with.

I don't get you guys.... if its not selling, its because its trash and worthless, now if it sales more than expected they build a really little amount, could it be that this it just a nice product people are looking for? we are talking about ASUS Here not Motorola and its bad reputation...

My local best buy sales people didn't even know what I was talking about. They did give props to the Moto though, which was surprising considering the kids working in my best buy are essentially useless w/ regard to technical knowledge.

Not a short supply. No supply is more accurate. 20+ locations to have it "on the shelf" and only Amazon has it? For about a minute. Asus is just creating demand and now they can work on product. The UK had the same "Instant Sell Out" a couple weeks ago. If Asus had inventory, they already had plenty of consumers. Looks like they're just planning for the rest of the year production.

I'm in the market to purchase a tablet to replace my laptop for college. So far I think this would be the one to purchase because of it's keyboard/dock that comes with the tablet. instead of having to buy one as an accessories like the Xoom or the n00bpad2.
