The 32GB Samsung Galaxy S6 & S6 edge have 23GB of free space, so consider going 64GB

If you are looking up the Galaxy S6 / edge and storage space matters to you when shopping smartphones, you may want to consider getting the 64GB variant. Here's why - fresh out of the box, the 32GB version of the smartphone, which lacks a microSD card slot for storage expansion, has only 23.5GB of free space available to the user...

I've heard the S6 gives you 100GB of OneDrive storage free. Should be more than enough to store your videos until you can get them off the cloud. If you need more than this, you are more than welcome to purchase additional storage.

And when you just happen to want to show your friends the great travel video you made in 4k....enjoy that cloud 4k video download. No, cloud storage is always secondary to local storage.

Yea, sure. Good luck uploading (over cellular data connection) and downloading those 4K videos. It's sooo much easier than just popping in the SD card into your PC.

Whose gonna use 4K? Not many. The phones default is likely set to record at 1080 or 1440p

I'm not entirely sure anyone would be silly enough to want to watch any videos on a 5.1" screen let alone 4K videos. This is what televisions are for. I'm a firm believer in using the right tool for the job and a smartphone is certainly not the right tool for watching videos!

I remember when we were excited to watch cropped videos on a 3.5" screen. 5.1 is ok.

I wasn't :P. The exciting thing for me was having my own personal iternet browsing device that meant I could browse the net at work without having to click the 'I agree' disclaimer to say that my use may be monitored and recorded.

I know! And when viewing 4K on a phone screen it doesn't look any different than 1080p. You need a magnifying glass. 1080p still looks fine on a laptop or TV screen anyway.

Funny how you ask us to consider a 64GB version, but you never consider that 23GB might be more than enough for us

The only thing that will be funny is the look on our faces when we run out of storage after recording our third 4k video.

Not everyone records videos. In the last few years, I can only remember ever recording one video which was longer than a minute. Different strokes for different folks.

Lucky your the minority who takes alot of 4k videos, but there's also the 64gb and 128gb version for your type of people.

And how many people got equipment to show the 4K video? Funny you are one of the few who see this as a problem.....

And PA gives it a 9.3 lets just wait for Sony & LG. And lets say it again PA reviews sucks and are unrealistic check out other sites no one gives it a 9.3 .

Funny, from the almost 15 reviews i have been reading so far. None has pointed out this as an issue. Maybe the problem isnt the phones storage but you???

I didn't know, PA's scoring has to be dictated by other sites?!

Neither does the Nexus 6.

TouchWiz is not an application. So thus it doesn't take up its own space. It is a layer that is on top of Android. It runs with the OS, not inside the OS like other applications. TW surely makes the OS install itself slightly larger, but numbers show its no bigger than Android on other phones. The Nexus 6 with 32GB has 23GB available and it has no skin at all. Again its uneducated morons like some PA writers who are just trying to put a negative spin on Samsung. Yet the iPhone still has 16GB of storage and more than 7GB of it is used by the OS and it has no features and extended capabilities whatsoever. But PA has never made a negative spin of it.

I'm of the understanding that iOS 8 takes up 3GB, not 7GB. It only seems to be Android that's unweidly in terms of size, and for no good reason it seems.

My Huawei Ascend Mate 7 have almost 26gb free space available and microSD card slot supports upto 128gb. hell yeah!

And those reviews don't mention the lack of SD card as a con. Remember 128 gig version is not cheap maybe its better to wait for a version with SD support I'm pretty sure they build one just go search for S5 there is six phones with that name.
