They waited too long. I wanted the phone when it was revealed at Mobile World Congress but I just preordered the HTC 10.

Too late. There is nothing compelling about these phones.

X series could have been better if sony focused on features and change of design like Htc 10. 1.usb type c 2.3d touch 3.6GB ram 4. Always on display 5.ip 69 water resistance 6.xperia XA design with smaller top and bottom bezels 7. Fm radio 8. Front camera with flash People ask for OIS, sony flagship devices don't need OIS since they use a better technology based on software correction.

What limits you from the resistance Sony Already offers? Only 6&7 makes sense.

And software stabilization can never effectively replace a hardware OIS. LG does both OIS and software stabilization since the G Pro 2.

Yeah, but Apple's software stabilization and Sony's ones are the closest to OIS. Neither one can replace the other but they need to work together to ensure best results

The X series will definitely fail. No longer does it have the iconic sharp angular omnibalance design. This looks ugly imo. I love my Z5. Loved the Z3 and Z2 and Z. You can FKO and 2 fingers to you Sony.

My bet is that it's going to be as horrible as its predecessors.. Details will be good in 2% of the picture and rest will be blurry or greasy

Huge Sony fan but they need to learn how to market their devices, stick to release plans and support their devices in timely fashions. I have the Sony Xperia Z3v and the only reason I haven't bought a new device is because they renege on release plans in the US. I have long loved their camera and video quality and the phone designs are very premium but they just never stick to release plans and I would love to see them succeed.
