I have yet to see anybody who used webOS say anything bad about the OS itself. The phones themselves were just awful. It wasn't until the Pre 3 that the creaking, sticking keyboards were finally fixed. There are few, if any, Touchpads out there that don't have the cracks around the speakers. But the gestures, the themes, the fonts and the wave launcher were just so cool. There are still updates every now and then on Preware. How many OSes had such a dedicated homebrew store with apps, patches and all sorts of goodies. What could've been.

Ah yes the good old days with the Palm Pre and the Pixi. What a piece of **** the phones were. The OS was fantastic, but the hardware was garbage.

My first handheld was a 2nd hand Pilot 5000, first smartphone a Treo 270. But the 6 month anticipation of the Pre's release was the most exciting of my tech loving life!

I still remember Noah from Phonedog reviewing this. I picked it up, based on his review and loved it.

Phonearena gave the Pre a 9.9. I would give webOS a 10 and the hardware 5. As much as I love webOS, their hardware suuuuucked.

Terrible. I bought a Pixi for like $40 bucks after they went under. It sat in a drawer for years, but then I got a $300 trade in for it in the Best Buy Note 4 promo. Any working smartphone, they said.

Lol, right? Speaking as a millennial myself, if you mention Alcatel to a millennial, they will cringe. Unfortunately there's not too much of a competition with Apple as far as millennials go.

I'm glad to see somebody bringing something different to the table in a world of boring rectangle slabs. I'm hoping for a little more of a premium build compared to the keyone

I remember when the Pre & Samsung Instinct were labeled the first 'iPhone Killers'. Lol. The Pre wasn't bad, it just wasn't Android.

I've been a huge Palm fan since owning my first IIIse back in 98 iirc. Pretty cool to see the name making a resurgence, even if it is a Chinese company using it as nothing more than a marketing tool. Nevertheless, if this report is in any way accurate, then this product will more than likely DoA. When your market is old people who remember the Palm brand, you're screwed from the git go.

The typical Blackberry swarm run by a single queen bee single handedly seems to be crazy about Palm! Can't we have atleast one brand without fan boys (or just a single boy with multiple accounts) so we can express our verdicts and perspectives in 'freedom'? Even bloody Sony & HTC has its share of fan boys, for crying out loud! I've no problem with fans, I'm a fan of several brands myself including Apple and Samsung. But I DO have a problem with twisted fan boys with severe psychologal issues and past traumas... Oh well, G'Day!

"But I DO have a problem with twisted fan boys with severe psychologal issues and past traumas..." Really? I don't see you ranting about fanboys with severe psychological issues like Supah/Richard Yarrel/Flash/apple-rulz/hallyu. That's some really selective hate you got there.

Lmao! Alcoholic grandpa is in a drunken rage again. Looks like you've taken offense to me liking Palm, just like mxy would. Guess you just confirmed that you're a mxy yes account. This makes faux account #25, and growing. Now that you've outed yourself, you may return to your drunken stupor.

Lol, notice that you never need to say "Meanestgenius" for me to shut you down with facts. Also notice how you're deflecting from the fact that you have no answer that proves me wrong about what I posted about you in my comment #55. #Chump

Lmao! If that's the case, why isn't my name mentioned? How come in the links I posted it has you with your Flash account admitting to be mxyzptlk? You're so triggered by the fact that I exposed you that you're frantically trying to deflect from the facts. Too bad no one believes you, but more and more people know that you're mxyzptlk.

Just activated a 'new, old stock' Palm Treo 650 out of sentiment. Call clarity is better than I remember; browser (Blazer) just a bit past its prime to say the least. Camera/Camcorder is vintage 2004. I have my original Treo 650 from December of '04 and it still works but I regard it as an artifact. I believe I'll look this over just to get a sense of it.

This TCL is exaggerated. Already owns Alcatel, BlackBerry, and also of Semp (of which, will launch smartphones with the "Semp TCL" brand in 2018). And still want to use the Palm brand? Funny that her 4 brands do not give a decent brand!
