T-Mobile to roll out Android 9.0 Pie update to the LG V40 ThinQ soon
LG recently offered signs that it will finally release a wave of Android 9.0 Pie updates for some of its flagship smartphones like the V30, V35 and V40 ThinQ. Actually, it was only last month that the South Korean company revealed an Android 9.0 Pie roadmap, which points to a Q2/Q3 release.

About three weeks ago, LG started to roll out the long-awaited Android 9.0 Pie update to the V35 ThinQ, but only in South Korea. Well, it looks like these updates are slowly making their way to other territories, including the United States.

We're not sure whether or not T-Mobile will be the first carrier in the US to release Android 9.0 Pie for LG V40 ThinQ, but we do know it has already started to test it. The phone's support page has just been updated with information that confirms the carrier is now testing Android 9.0 Pie for LG V40 ThinQ.

According to the note on T-Mobile's website, during this particular stage, the LG V40 ThinQ will go through its certification process testing in order to make sure that it's bug-free and that users will get the best quality software possible.

If T-Mobile doesn't find any major issues during testing phase, we can expect the carrier to push out the update in less than month, so stay tuned for more info on this one.
