T-Mobile pushes new November update for Galaxy S7 and S7 edge

A new update has started rolling out for Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge owners that purchased their device from T-Mobile. With a size of 122.5MB, the software upgrade should bump the version of the Galaxy S7 to G930TUVS4BQJ2. Meanwhile, the edge variant gets version G935TUVS4BQJ2.

After installing the new software upgrade, users will be safeguarded from a couple of dangerous security vulnerabilities. The update includes the Android security patch for the month of November and fixes for both the KRACK Wi-Fi and BlueBorne exploits. Many owners of the 2016 flagship duo are still stuck with the August security patch, so it's good to see the Un-Carrier finally releasing the latest monthly update.

There might be additional features on board, but at the time of writing, T-Mo's support page hasn't been updated to reflect the new changes. If you've noticed anything new after patching, please comment and let us know.

The update is available OTA, but it might need some time to reach all compatible devices. You can check for it manually by going to Settings > About Device > Software Updates. As always, make sure that your phone is sufficiently charged and connected to a Wi-Fi network before proceeding with the patch.
