T-Mobile announces "Caller Verified" to warn subscribers about possible scam calls

T-Mobile became the first carrier to implement the FCC's new STIR/SHAKEN standards that verify incoming calls to make sure that they are not from scammers or spammers. It is first available on the carrier's Samsung Galaxy Note 9.

What I do not understand is all 4 carriers have a database to counter stolen and lost phones based on their IMEI. This is a collective database. Why cant they all have a database to counter spam calls as well. The government needs to enforce a strict rule to help customers.
