Still Expensive? Sucker Edition? Let these funny tweets reveal the iPhone SE's "true" identity!

Apple left Twitter users plenty of time to exercise their imagination in coming up with the wildest of guesses as for the meaning of SE. And in true Internet anonimity fashion, most of them are less than flattering...

@Wiencon I do not suport those tweets nor those users' comments about iPhone SE meaning. That's why I personally do not post it, in order not to offend anyone. My opinion about the "SE" was Sacrosanct Edition. I just laugh off the sacarsm of those users comment I quoted.

Austin's tweet speaks da truth tho. If you think about it, that first slide about the environment basically foreshadowed the SE's design!

@S-R-K No lad, They're throwing a bone to the dogs... Some really grouchy hounds... Who also happen to be patriotic and overly enthusiastic about their MASTERS... I'm just a humble tree who is taking a back seat and enjoying the pups...

This version must really suck eggs if even PA seem to be making fun of an Apple product.

@Trakker So you're basically implying that PA is biased? Why I'm in PA comment section? Because it one of the most unbiased smartphone blog, they've a sense of humour and don't ban you even if you use a certain inappropriate F word... Not that I like to use that word, not at all... But that explains their open minded attitude...!

Trust me when I tell you that these comments are the brain child of those individuals who can't afford it... When we can't possess something, we save our dignity by saying: GRAPES ARE SOUR...

You do know that there are people who dont like the iPhone, AND can afford it right? And besides, this one is $399 off contract, if they can't afford that there isn't much they can afford. But that whole "They're just jealous because theyre poor" rationale if anything sounds like the words of an elitist douche. BTW, I personally like #2 the best. And by that I meant tweet #2, not the bodily function, for any of you with your minds in the gutter.

@VZWuser76 So, in your definition, buying an iPhone is akin of having the head in a gutter? You interest me, lad... BTW, I'm a Nexus User. Basically an Android Purest and also have Windows Phone. Have had everything in the past. Blackberry, Nokia Symbian and even a Motorola. Never had an iPhone so I'm thinking of getting one... As you can see, I'm not a FAN BOY. Far from it, in fact... One must avoid Fan Boys as these individuals tend to have twisted minds and tend to be hell bent on a certain brand... In my definition, they're mentally ill people who are in desperate need of treatment... And have my deep sympathies...

You completely missed the joke. I said my favorite tweet of the ones in the article was number two. By saying I like number 2 the best, I thought some people would use that as an opening to say he likes number two (which is slang for poop) the best, which is why I added the clarification. My statement had nothing to do with the iPhone itself, but the tweet #2 saying Apple says 4 inches is OK. It was clever, that's all. What I did take issue with in your statement is that the only reason someone can dislike the iPhone is because they can't afford it. I actually picked up two devices last year, both at full price. I picked up the Nexus 6p because I'd never had a Nexus phone, and I picked up the Droid Turbo 2 to use during work. I could've easily picked up an iPhone or two for that matter, but in using my nephew's over various family functions, I just don't like the UI, and I'm not a fan of the company's business practices either. So what I'm saying is to dismiss people's issues with something as jealousy due to their financial status is an elitist way of thinking.

If you only want a non expandable 16 gb iPhone then it's not too bad for an Apple device. However when I see the competition offer more starting storage or at least an option for expandable storage, then it's not a good deal at all. The thing is with iOS 9.3 which has grown. Not to mention a 4k camera, and app sizes have grown. 16 gb is a disgrace, so users have to add an additional $100 USD in order to make this iPhone useful. So it's now $500 USD. In Europe it is 500 euros, and Canada it is $580 CAD, and that is the 16 gb version. It's not that I can't afford it. I feel it is not worth my money, especially when there are other devices that offer and can do more.

lol. I dunno why apple fans always throw the 'you cannot afford it' comment. you guys really feel special and rich for owning an iphone? because that's stupid....even for an apple fan.

Well, a $400 phone isn't exactly cheap for most people... And needless to say, iPhone cost an arm and a leg in some countries notably India and Eastern Countries like China, Singapore, Indonesia and Hong Kong etc... Not everyone lives in the West, I'm afraid...
