Sprint starts selling EV-DO card

Spint just started offering EV-DO-Ready Sprint PCS Connection Card by Sierra Wireless through its business sales channels. Although Sprint has not launched EV-DO service yet, they hope to do so on most major markets by the end of this year. The AirCard 580 by Sierra Wireless operates both on CDMA 1xEV-DO and 1xRTT networks, so meanwhile subscribers will be able to log on via the existing Sprint's 1xRTT network. The card will enable average user speeds of 300-500 kbps and peak rates of up to 2.4 Mbps in EV-DO coverage areas. The suggested retail price for business customers is $299.99.
