Sprint launches their first Smartphone - SP-i600

Sprint and Samsung today announced the availability of the SP-i600 – the first smartphone from Sprint PCS. Originally, Verizon Wireless has offering the same phone (SCH-i600) running 2002 Microsoft Windows Mobile for Smartphone, but now you can upgrade the software to the 2003 version. Sprint PCS new SP-i600 comes with the 2003 Windows for Smart phones installed. The device will be available at Sprint Stores, RadioShack and Best Buy. The retail price is set to be $649. Main features are:

  • 65K-Color, TFT main display (176x220 pixel)
  • Intel 200 MHZ processor
  • GPS
  • Speakerphone
