Sprint 4G LTE to light up 5 cities on July 15

For those of you that are owners of one of Sprint’s newer 4G LTE equipped devices such as the Samsung Galaxy S III and the HTC EVO 4G LTE, we bet you sure would like some more places you can use them and take those super fast data speeds for a test drive...

You need to check your facts. Nothing you just said is accurate at all. The $10 premium data charge goes onto ALL smartphones, regardless if it's 4G capable or not. The only way to get around that charge is if you were grandfathered in, which very few are. When you upgrade or start a new plan, you are charged for the premium data. Sprint's prices are creeping up and up? The only increase in price in the past two years is the implement of the $10 data fee. How much is a single line of service with Verizon now with their new bundled plans? How quick does one burn through 2 gigs of data on 4G? Can you freely stream Pandora or Netflix? Do your research.

I don't know where you get your "facts", but I don't care. Sprint sucks, that's the bottom line

Easy 'Stone Cold'...he's right. The $10 is on all smartphones, not just 4G. I have Sprint and my girl has VZ. Her iPhone 4s is indeed faster than my Samsung Epic (in 3G mode of course). But honestly, the speed difference feels marginal. People make a huge deal between 700k and 1 meg...it's really not day & night difference. Now I won't argue with the fact that Sprint's 4G wimax network blows in comparison to all other 4G alternatives. But with the implementation of LTE should rectify that issue in due time. Early benchmark tests show that their LTE speeds are at least #2 at the moment. But let's see if they can maintain this kind of quality once they begin lighting up cities and more users begin piling in. They are supposedly going to roll out LTE in 5mhz channels as opposed to VZ's 10mhz channels, so speed will likely be a tad slower if adoption of LTE is quick. Though I doubt it will be since even at this point, Verizon only had 5% LTE adoption as a few months ago...and LTE has been around for over a year now.

Well to quote "The Dude", "that's, ugh, just, your opinion, man".

And your well thought out statement, "Sprint sucks, that's the bottom line"....aside from being inspirational, it's also an opinion. A narrow minded one at that. But I guess we're all entitled to disagree with whomever we choose. Even with logic.

So, would the 3g only be improved on those 5 sites that are getting LTE?

Y'all have opinions about sprint. Yea its slow and isn't as good. but its cheaper and with lte getting lit up now, plus the addition of unlimited with someone nice phone choices, i say they are the better carrier. You may have to wait for lte but at least you know they are starting to light cities up. Go ahead and leave. One person gone wont make a difference since they are starting to gain new customers. Remember, mist people dont want to pay a lot in this economy and with sprint finally getting in the game, they may come ou ahead in years ahead if prices stay cheaper. My 2 cents guys

fools rush in is the title of a movie and it is so fitting in this case! Why would you buy something before the network could support it? that's like buying a computer that doesn't connect to the net.. I like the new phones but I did my home work first, I notice the lag times on the HTC Evo Lte & Samsung GS3 just too down load video footage on U-Tube. So here is a quick fix too help those of you who got caught up...lol If you still have your old phone turn it back on until sprint get's there $h!+ together. Just tell them your phone was stolen and wait out the wave or keep crying foul ball. None of these so called carriers are perfect so it comes @ a price, so pick your poison of and for the record the SG3 is a cheaply made phone the screen blacked out in a drop test after two tries, the apple iphone 4s survived along with the HTC one X all without a case to protect them. The SG3 actually performs below the EVO LTE in test.
