Windows Phone users have some good news for the holiday season. The Spotify team has confirmed that it is working on a native app for Microsoft's mobile platform, and the team wants to get the app out as fast as it possibly can. The news comes from Anna Ström, the Product Marketing Manager for Windows Phone in Sweden. Ström said that it is understood that Spotify is a "must have" app for many users, so everything possible is being done to get the app out quickly.
Some conspiracy theorists had said that Spotify wasn't on Windows Phone because Microsoft wants to push users towards its own Xbox Music, but it looks like that's definitely not the case. No word on when Spotify will be available in the Windows Phone Store, but it might not be too long.
