Spigen outs a full portfolio of cases for the 4.7" iPhone 6, and the 5.5" iPhone Air phablet

Spigen outs a full portfolio of cases for the 4.7
Those impatient case makers from Spigen are at it again, already issuing the first batch of their iPhone 6 cases and covers officially. While the shape and size of the cases confirm the new 4.7" iPhone 6 dummies and prototypes we've seen so far, Spigen is also selling cases for the 5.5" Apple phablet, that is codenamed iPhone Air.

Frankly, it looks like quite the largish device, so we can't wait to see what Apple announces tomorrow, and put the phablet through its paces when it becomes available, comparing it to other 5.5-inchers. Apple has to fit the Touch ID fingerprint sensor down there, after all, so we doubt it will be able to achieve the amazing 83% screen-to-body ratio of the Huawei Ascend Mate 7, for instance, which fits a 6" screen in a chassis more akin to a 5.5-incher.

With the protruding camera from the back it sort of makes it necessary for you to carry it in a case otherwise the phone would rest entirely on camera when place on a flat surface which makes it uncomfortable for me no matter how scratch resistant the sapphire lens is.

Sitting on the back will not scratch camera glass because it will sit by a slight angle, so I don't think there'll be a problem. If you don't use a case thick like the protruding camera height, the phone will tilt all the time when you use it on a table though.

exactly, iOS gets boring after owning an android device, I would know... I have an iPhone and a Nexus 7.. I'm definetly buying and Android smartphone. iOS is way prettier out of the box but with time you find out it's pretty dull too..

and how do you know that ? I use their S Health app, UPSM and HDR video recorder all the time. I travel a lot so that extra set of battery comes very handy too. Not to mention the introduction of Here Maps exclusively of Samsung devices will also be very useful.

If the past leaks had the protruding camera and the "final" version Spigen has shown here with the glass pieces (like the iPhone 5/5s). I believe the glass will sit flush with the camera.

A great loss? For who? Me? Never! I just like to try to make sense of things, but if I'm wrong, then I'm wrong. I'm not trying to win or prove, just sharing. We'll see how things go on the announcement, that's where the real answer are. :)

But to add onto that, maybe not flush, but maybe protrude much less as the leaked versions. Who knows...

If announced/released, it will be THE ideally sized 5.5 incher ever. Apple knows best..

Big button and omnibalance design = big up and down bezels, so not ideal. Very beautiful though

just guessing

I guess you'd need a case to hide that camera. You guys know me - I like Apple, iOS, and all, but that protruding camera is turning me off... Hopefully the iP6S will get rid of it before (I cycle thru the "S" models)... Guys the protruding camera is really bad... sorry...

^This. I wish the iPhone 6 looks like the 4th pic (the only chance I see myself getting another iPhone cause the "leaked" pics are simply the ugliest phone I've ever seen) but chances are as nohatenofanboy said it's not going to happen.

That's OIS right there!!! You see the lens??????

12. AlikMalix unregistered

OIS is great feature, and hopefully it will outweigh the look, but I have not seen Apple to compromise like this. Samsung, Nokia Lumias, and many phones have protruding camera, HTC Evo, and many more... and it's sloppy there and it's no different with iP6 leaks - Apple has no excuse - thinness is not that important...
