16.3% battery increase with exactly same phone size is great... (and hopefully they can fit 4650mAh battery inside their redmi note 4 pro, thats also 16.3% battery increase, lol)

But say seriously, they sacrifice some feature for make bigger battery, like MicroSD slot. :/ But not bad at all, hope it won't bend like Mi 5. My 1 years old Redmi 2 still smooth af. :D Waiting Mi Pro also!

I guess its fine for 256GB phone that cost similar (or lower) than other 64GB smartphone + microSD slot

Who needs external storage after 256 GB of internal?

Some hypocrites here DO need an SD Card option... Even if it possess a Terra Byte of internal memory... Ha! I NEVER store my precious data on SDs, hence I'm fine with iPhones... And I'm fine worth this too... My data on SD card has been corrupted more times than I remember... I used to install apps on my SD card on my Windows Phone, but I soon had to change my habit because the apps started corrupting after few runs... Anyhow, that Xiaomi seems like a KILLER phone...! If only they launch it globally...

I need a micro SD and I never get a phone without one, I have never had a corrupt micro SD in any of my phones and that's why I'm not cheap when I buy then. And as you ay 256 gb is enough but I want the micro SD so I can easily swap data, In case of phone failure and I don't want to pay to cloud storage seeking wifi or spend data plan to upload gbs of data when I can get 256gb micro SD. My galaxy s5 fell from my hands into the deep like 4 to 5 meters and although it was waterproof it was to deep and water got in but even though the phone wouldn't work my micro SD worked perfect when I dried it up. Now why in he'll wouldn't I want that kind of data security in my phone?

Seriously man, don't buy 5$ cards, invest in Samsung or Sandisk. Actually data on SD is much more secure. Recently my dad dropped his phone (Lumia 1020) and the screen was broken, didn't accept touch so there was no way to unlock the phone and export photos to PC. This was so stupid, he paid 99$ for screen replacement just to get his photos back. It wouldn't be a problem if it had SD, just swap it out and you're good to switch to another phone That's biggest grip I have with iPhones, all phones should have SD slot

Correction: he didn't pay $99 to get his photos back, he paid $99 to get his phone back. Seriously though, a case or a tempered glass screen protector that costs less than any micro SD card would have prevented that scenario.

Mi 5 is my favorite phone except for the camera. MIUI 8 is the best ROM

How did you get it? Is it the stable version? Global or Chinese? My friends redmi 3 pro is still on miui 7. Kindly reply

Xiaomi sells the global version. You can get the 3GB RAM / 64GB version for $349. Still better than anything else at its price. If this phone is real, and knowing Xiaomi they'll offer it in different RAM/ROM configurations, I WILL be getting a 64GB or 128GB version.

You could import it. But I doubt it supports the LTE band of your carrier.
