Sorry, my interest is still in tech and also games. I don't need to come to PA to post comments everyday right? I'm already sick of PA for some reasons that I can't mention here. I didn't post comments often now, but I'm here to look at the latest tech news almost everyday. Every gossip people make, I'll know. I'm like the NSA, spying you on the dark glow. And yes, I'm delirious outta my mind. Peace! :)

Waiting for the Z4 with an 805 or 810 SoC. I love Sony UI because of its near stock vanilla Android layout. So smooth.

I think this is the right time for Sony to start using all the technology at their disposal, if they do not want to end up tragically like nokia and motorola. Put some advance display on their flagships like their Super Top Emision Oled, Crystal LED or JDI WhiteMagic Oled. Color Live LED is actually good enough but at least combine it with the most advance IPS tech like IPS NEO from JDI and their Moth Eye to improve the outdoor visibility and battery life. Ask for help to the imaging division who handles the RX series cameras to fix/improve the camera SW in their phones. Dedicated Walkman audio chip and stereo magnetic fluid speaker, NC tech and high res audio. Basically put everything you got into your flagship and make sure you market it well. All of it would probably make Sony products much more expensive, but at least Sony will have a better chance to compete with Samsung and Apple. Another solution is to make several different versions such as: 1. Premiun slim smartphone with high screen ratio for all the bezels haters. 2. Cybershot series for photographer wannabes. 3. Walkman series for audiophiles. 4. 6-8" Gaming Phablet/Small Tablet for the best Multimedia device. That way Sony was able to use all the most advanced technology at their disposal and make their products more affordable.

So basically what Samsung is doing? Cool. Sony Z3 better not disappoint.

Not really because they have done it when they were still Sony Ericsson. I think flooding the market without giving good support for all the products (from low to high end devices) like Samsung Is not a good strategy for Sony especially now. If they do what I mentioned there will be only about 10-12 products a year. 3 different versions flagship. 3 different versions well-balanced specs mid-range like Xperia Sp. 1 Entry level phone 4.3" HD IPS Display, SD200 and 3MP FF Camera. And 2 or 4 gaming phablet/tablet (2 High end 2 affordable versions). I think many people will be disappointed with the Z3.

Except design, nothing is appealing. I mean, at least put 805 in it. Oh wait, they will launch z4 with 805 at MWC in Feb.

The Z3 will be something of a disappointment if it still uses the moribund 800/801 chip. It is time for the 805 which is already shipping in Samsung and LG phones. Sony also needs to work on their camera. It is not a bad camera, but it is not the best. A Sony camera should be the best. They have the tech. They just need to have the courage to put better camera tech on their phones. Right now, they fear cannibalization. The same reason they don't put a world class headphone amp in their phones. Like Genza said above, Sony has many advanced technologies. They need to start using them more aggressively.
