Sony Ericsson to unveil Walkman Music Phones

Sony Ericsson announced that it is set to introduce Walkman branded music phones. Although some of Sony Ericsson's models already have a digital music player, the new handsets will feature larger memory, high quality headphones, more playback features as well as the ability to easily import tracks from a personal computer and other devices. The Walkman phones will also be the first networked Walkmans to use open software standards for compression and piracy protection. They will be available both for 2G and 3G networks and are expected in the third quarter of 2005.
