Someone's working to increase the iPhone 6s' battery life by four times and needs your support on Indiegogo

Instead of a removable battery case, Fat Battery is an actual physical upgrade to the iPhone. The Fat Battery team will take your iPhone, remove its back, insert a brand new, larger battery, and send the upgraded device back with a fresh, custom-fit back...

What about Charging times? What if my device is defective and needs to be replaced, bye bye battery? Or purchase new device? New battery?

1 year warranty covered by the company thats do the modification. charging time depend on the charger used and the hardware in the phone thats handle this thats another thing thats can be improved easily.

Yeah, as others wrote, doesn't seem like you watched video, that said it is still valid concerns, especially to what I said, with them actually creating a company around such a to me unstable basis, what if Apple significantly improves the battery and makes the phone a bit thicker, there goes your company's reason for existing.

Yea. This is just as a downright terrible idea honestly. Not to mention it voids your warranty.

I rather have a thicker phone with amazing battery life than hug wall all the time... This would make your phone work easily a full week-end if you go camping where there is no electricity by example.

I'm guessing this invalidates the Apple warranty.

Yes, they covered that in the video. Your Apple warranty will be void, but they offer a warranty of their own to replace it. However, he didn't go into any details about the coverage or deductibles, etc...definitely something I'd research first.

That's laughable. Who wants to do that ? If you want battery life you could buy the Apple smart battery case right now, which is really great. Added protection, fast charging, lightning built in and if you don't like it you can just take it off the moment it makes its work done and just use it as power bank - something this abomination can't do. It's an raped iPhone really.... Like have they at least thought about the design ? How could such profound kick into the super integrated Apple design where every single bit has its purpose, how could it mess up ? And then when the next gen iPhone comes out, with much better specifications and possibly with an all new next-gen Apple smart battery case 2, there will be no reason to even think about this.

I'd choose this over that ugly Apple battery case. Much more battery life, not as hideous. You've still got the same charging speed and connector ports you always had.

Apple got 13,78 Wh with its battery case, the only thing we know about that "thing" is that it's supposed to quadruple the capacity. But why capacity means ? If it's going to fiddle with battery connections, control circuits, and power delivery from lightning conector... It might end up drastically innefficient, as quite a lot of energy can get wasted out (so far from "4X the battery life" in the end) if it gets conected poorly. It could completelly disable fast charge or charge as a whole could be compromised. If people are currently going wild about how "slow" the iPhone charges, how much would it take for a battery that wasn't even made for an Apple charger ? And what the heck, will the battery indicator work correctly at least ? Even if it works perfectly, you can buy the SBC and slap it on your phone - complete experience, zero problems, great battery life and charging speed, and start enjoying immediately. And you can buy three of them for that price...

6870 mah = 68,70 Wh Should i say more? its much better than your ugly smart battery case. All your if, its could and blablabla are simply excuses. Did you know battery case are innefficient? out of your 13.78 WH or 1378 mah you loose at least 10% in conversion. With a direct battery there is no such loss. So i repeat this is much better than any power bank or charging case. Slow charging speed will still stay slow but thats not the battery fault its the crappy charging architecture and charger used by apple nothing else.

No need to waste your smarts on this guy, he obviously has an iphone, which means he had to trade his brain for an iphone.

No, 6870mAH = 6.87AH. Then 6.87AH x 3.8v = 26.1WH power = current x voltage energy = power x time

You lost all credibility when you asked what does capacity mean? You can't discuss the subject because you know nothing about it.

So adding AROUND 300 more bucks to the already-very-expensive iPhone just to extend battery life? What are they thinking?!

and actually its almost the same as other battery pack. lol 4x iPhone battery isnt much, since they use small battery.. just get some 8000mah or 10000mah battery case, thats bigger than 4xiPhone battery

And what if, after spending 300 bucks, Apple bricks the device with error code 53 or 55, due to use of unauthorised battery........?????

Haha, that will just be outright stupid and hilarious...but I'll never doubt apple to come up with a stupid dictator excuse to do so.

"...Phone manufacturers have to make between thinness and battery life.." No they don't. They deliberately cripple battery-life to enforce customers to buy the new model next year! They solely decided that phones needed to be thin. Nobody ever "asked" me if i wanted a thin phone or a thicker one with better battery life. In fact nobody ever asks me anything. "They" all collaborate on this and simply stop making thicker phones so that customers simply can't find them and obviously can't buy them. People should just boycot ALL these manufacturers no matter if they have a fruit-logo or use a robot-OS. F@ck them all!

Is this a joke or something? They're basically charging you 300 dollars for a bigger battery and a back panel? Hahaha this is ludicrous. I can't believe that people would actually waste their money on this

I've seen better ad on Kickstarter than this one, and why he mention Kickstarter but is funding on indiegogo? Aren't they two separate companies?

kickstarter is another name for fundraising, startup, crowdfunding, and so on,.. so they technically correct :-/
