Software update for the Asus Transformer Prime graces the tablet with a good dose of speed

0. phoneArena posted on 02 Jan 2012, 11:31

There’s still plenty to like about this one seeing that it graces the tablet with a good sense of speed. So far, it’s reported that it brings along an overall peppier response with its performance, plus, the camera application is mentioned to open much faster as well...

i personally dont see why tablets at this point need GPS support anyway. I have not had luck with any phone gps in my experience. (that includes ios, android and blackberry so all fan boys please stfu in advanced). But then again thats just me. If the gps was on par with a tomtom or garmin and it was not working i would understand. But thats just me.

hmm...you got jinx. I have had Nokia since I can remember and I haven't had any problems with GPS. Now I have N8 and I can count on it in every situation.

Great Tablet. Had one the first week they shipped out, but returned it. Quad-Core is fantastic but not ground breaking just yet. When ICS comes out than you can be happier.

Kind of sad that a quad core device would need a software update to improve performance. It should already be speedy as hell! Oh well. If they unlock the bootloader, I might pick it up
