At worst it gonna be manufactured at Samsung 10LPP, but if they can wait a few months more TSMC 7nm will be ready. Samsung 10LPE doesn't make sense. Most likely they will use customized A75+A55 cores so they will be named as Kryo and new DynamIQ setup. A53 worse than A55 and doesn't fit DynamIQ at all.

Its still slower than the A10...As nothing will challenge the A11 for Android...

Hasn't comparing AX perfomance in an iPhone to SD in an Android always been a fraught comparison? Like saying "my motorcycle accelerates faster than your truck." It's just whatever works for what you need.

Apparently it doesn't need to, since the SD835 Note 8 beat the A11 iPhone 8 Plus in side by side speed tests.

Oh god just to justify Note 8 is faster. What you were discussing about has something to do with the ram and ram management of the OS( the opening and closing apps and changing from one to another) Apparently, the user is talking about the CPU speed and power that cant be matched at the moment by any android chipmakers like Qualcomm.

There's no fair comparison really. Compare an iPhone 8 to an Android running an SD835 at 1280x720 and maybe you've got apples to apples (no pun intended). But good luck finding an Android phone running that combination.

It's been proven countless times that running at lower resolution has really very little impact at all on performance outside of gaming Note 7/8 at 720p set in settings does not run any faster at all than a Note 7/8 at 1440p. I notice no difference at all running at 720p resolution and the full WQHD+ resolution on my Note 8

True, the biggest effect of resolution is seen in 3D gaming benchmarks like 3DMark and Gfxbench. No, it won't affect other types of multitasking, but it is one visible aspect of performance. UI smoothness and gaming fps have been a cudgel against Android as far back as I can recall.

It's just iOS 11.0.1-0.3...cause the 7 Plus on 10.3.3 beats the Note 8 in speed test, iOS 11 at this moment is truly poorly optimized, it doesn't run that well on my work 7 Plus , 10.3.3 was absolutely a lot better in performance... But according to many, 11.1 is much improved over 11.0 so lets see

And, as I stated, that speed doesn't seem to matter in actual use.

Not in cpu intense workloads, if you're referring to opening and cycling multiple apps, the Note wins because of the RAM difference. Go edit some photos or videos on your phone, the A11 is faster.

It's funny to see the amount of stupidity here. To isheeps: 1. A11 s**tionic is the same ARM as Sd835, yes, armv8a, it s not even designed by Apple, just a little customized. In essence it is still an Arm, just like sd835. It may have 2x a73 or a75 and 4 a53 cores 2. iphone x has Sony imx 398 camera sensor, how do you feel that Sony's xz series have imx400 sensor which has 1gb ram memory and is waaay better?

Oh god you are way too stupid and full of hatred 1. A series is desgined from ground up it is ARM processor but it is not an off the shelf arm chips that other oems are using. Again they are not using A73 or A75 which is an off shelves chips. Sd835 and A11 may have similar specs in terms of fabrication and being a 64bit processor but that is it basically (both manufactured in 10nm) Also ARM is selling processor chips for mobile market which manufacturers like Qualcomm, huawei in house kirin, Samsung in house exynos, and Apple A chips as well. Take a read:www.androidauthority.com/why-are-apples-chips-faster-than-qualcomms-gary-explains-802738/amp/ Basically one of the reasons why A11 is faster than 835 is because A11 is bigger than any available in the mobile market. It is also expensive to create bigger chips like A11 and knowing qualcomm is a business for selling chips they cant afford to sell expensive chips to OEMS like samsung, htc, lg, etc. Also, A series chips support bigger cache which isnt introduced until Aa75 which is going to be on SD845. 2. Having higher Sony sensor doesnt always mean BETTER it always has something to do with camera algorithm, adjustments, etc. Stop with the hate and ignorance im not even an apple user yet seeing this kind of post is tacky and cringey.
