This time around I doubt that because the new Mali G-71 is nearly as fast as the T880 in the S7 when found in MP8 configuration (vs MP12 for the afore mentioned T880). So if they again go for MP12 or even MP16, plus the benefit of the 10nm node (vs 16nm Finfet for the Kirin) and you can expect a GPU boost for the 8895 past 50% vs the Exynos 8890. Kirin 960 with G-71 MP8 vs Exynos 8890 with T880 MP12:

Yikes, you're right. Oh well, hopefully OnePlus keeps 1080p and grabs a RGB AMOLED display...but likely they won't. They'll say that SoCs are powerful enough now for QHD, so here's a new one at $450 and $500 respectively. I just hope they keep a 1080p option.

Uhm A9X already does. Its a tablet chip anyway. A9X/A10X should be compared to upcoming Tegra Parker (X2)

Agreed... Apple SoCs ending with the X are tablet SoCs and shouldn't be compared to mobile SoCs at all.

I heard that the Snapdragon 835 has more graphics power than the latest console. The end of PC/console gaming is nigh!
